About this experience
Annapurna Base Camp passes through many villages of different ethnic communities having different culture and lifestyle with terraced fields to forests of rhododendron and bamboo with a wide range of flora and fauna and eventually the alpine heights. It provides non-stop natural diversity with lovely mountain views and Himalayan landscape. The sub-tropical forests come alive with an immense variety of bird life, waterfalls thunder down from steep cliff sides and monkeys chatter from the tree-tops. Trekking higher into the green, terraced hills you will wander through ancient, mossy Rhododendron forests to reach the cooler Buddhist and animistic middle hills, where chortens and prayer flags send prayers out to the gods and the Gurung and Magar inhabitants look more Tibetan than Nepali.

Excellent operators
From the moment I landed in Kathmandu, Outfitter Himalaya took care of everything. I felt relaxed and was able to enjoy my trek. It is well organised and the guides are very experienced (I had Ramesh and he was superb). The trek itself is a fantastic adventure and I highly recommend you choose Outfitter Himalaya for your next trek. Only point I would make is to perhaps avoid the monsoon season (July/August) since landslides are quite common and the views tend to be obstructed with fog. But apart from that, great experience.

Greatest adventure of my life
I recently completed a 9-day trek to Annapurna Base Camp with Outfitter Himalaya, and the experience exceeded all my expectations. A special thank you to our guide, Pralad, whose knowledge of the Annapurna region was outstanding. He shared fascinating information about the mountains, local culture, and trekking routes throughout the journey. More importantly, his constant encouragement and positive attitude helped me reach Annapurna Base Camp when the trek became challenging. His professionalism, patience, and genuine care for our group made a huge difference. I would also like to recognize our porter, Pradip. He worked incredibly hard every day, safely carrying our gear to each destination along the trek. Despite the demanding conditions, he was always cheerful, reliable, and helpful. It was inspiring to learn that he is training to become a guide, and I have no doubt he will be excellent in that role. The entire trek was well organized, and the support provided by Outfitter Himalaya allowed us to fully enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Annapurna Range. I highly recommend Outfitter Himalaya to anyone considering a trek in Nepal and would happily travel with them again.

Annapurna circuit
These guys are so professional, thorough, and are great people- head office, guides, porters, everyone associated with them. This is my third trek with them (EBC, Gokyo Ri, Annapurna circuit) and I wouldnt use anyone else. The selected restaurants and accommodations are always good, the gear they provide is clean and excellent condition. I strongly suggest a private tour so you can be flexible with your itinerary. The additional cost is not much and the you can go at your own pace, subject to a full acclimatisation program.

Amazing ABC
Absolutely amazing. Very well organised by Arjun from Outfitter Himalaya. Almost perfect. Lovely bunch of people in tour guide and porters. Very thankful to all of them. Would absolutely trust and recommend Arjun and Outfitter Himalaya for another trip. Some things could be better like: .. Day 2 and first day down from ABC were just too long and very tiring, taking away from the fun experience, and didn't need to be. There is enough time/days, just needs better planning. .. Very little time spent at the top at ABC. Simply not enough to cherish and savour the moment. .. Dorm style shared accommodation was never mentioned at the time of booking. Even paid a high season surcharge - for what ? On the whole a fantastic experience, thanks.
