Great Vacation in the heart of Serengeti, Masai Mara, and Ngorongoro Crater!!

Amazing Safari Vacation through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti, and Ngorongorongo Crater Tanzania!!! My family and friends had the Safari Trip of a lifetime with Asili Adventures through the plains of Tanzania. I highly recommend requesting Martin as your guide. Martin was very friendly and knowledgeable in finding animals and activity. We went during February, which is in their summer, so I would recommend sunscreen and lighter clothing (although the heat was not bad). We encountered a wide variety of wildlife and activity through our travels, including the Big 5. The accommodations, food, and staff were all excellent! Everyone was extremely friendly and even taught me a bunch of Swahili. Asili Adventures and Martin gave us an amazing trip. I have memories and pictures that will last a lifetime! Asante Sana!!

Response from the operator: Hi Jason, Thank you very much for your kind review. It was truly an honor and a great pleasure to arrange your safari in Tanzania. Arranging a third safari means a great deal to our team, it is always rewarding to share the beauty, wildlife, and unique landscapes of East Africa with returning guests such as yourself. We hope that this safari created many wonderful memories, and we look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you again for another unforgettable adventure in the future. Kind regards Asili Team

    Africa Stole my Heart

Asili Adventures just gave me the trip of a lifetime. Every detail of the trip was carried out exactly as I had hoped. 5 different lodges, 4 different parks, 2 different drivers and timely transportation made for the perfect trip. I cannot recommend Asili enough. Monica and Joyce planned the adventure according to our preferences. Accommodations, food and transport were exceptional. Our drivers, Malteen and Donatis, were fabulous. They brought Africa alive with their knowledge of the parks, animals, politics, food, history and culture. The respect they showed for the land and wildlife was beautiful to see. Thank you Asili for doing the hard stuff, so I could enjoy the loveliness of Africa.

Great Vacation in the heart of Serengeti, Masai Mara, and Ngorongoro Crater!!

My family and I had an amazing trip with Asili Adventures in Kenya and Tanzania!!! I would highly recommend requesting Jimmy if you are traveling in Kenya and Martin if you are traveling in Tanzania. Both of our guides were fantastic and went above and beyond for us. They were both extremely friendly and knowledgeable and knew where and when to find the animals we wanted to see. We saw so many amazing animals and scenery along the way. We got to see the Big 5 (Lions, Rhinos, Leopards, Elephants, and Buffalo), as well countless numbers of Wildebeest, Zebras, and different species of Gazelles, plus a few cheetahs and many many more wildlife along the way. If you are lucky enough to travel there during the Great Migration (late July is when we went) it is truly a sight to see. Watching the Wildebeests cross the river during the Great Migration was a once in a lifetime experience!! Both of our guides even helped teach me a Swahili on the trip as an added bonus! We could not have asked for a better trip and guides. My father has mobility issues and has to use a wheelchair to get around some places. Both of our guides, as well as the staff at the lodges were extremely helpful in helping him get around from place to place. The lodges we stayed at had excellent service, food, comfort, and really friendly staff for us right in the heart of the Masai Mara, Serengeti, as well as the Ngorongoro Crater. I would recommend bringing cash along for a tip for the staff at the lodges as well as for your guide. The Masai Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater won't disappoint if you want to see countless numbers of animals in their natural habitat. We also took a hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara which will leave you breathless once you are in the air. The only issue I ran into was not having enough space on my phone to back up all of my pictures and videos along the way(I am not the best photographer so my pictures don't do it justice). I would also recommend visiting the Masai village in Kenya and learning about their different cultures and traditions, it was very fascinating. All in all a very wonderful trip! Thank You again to Asili Adventures as well as our guides Jimmy and Martin for an amazing trip!!

13-Day Private Wildlife Safari Tour of Kenya and Tanzania: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.

How much does 13-Day Private Wildlife Safari Tour of Kenya and Tanzania cost?

    +

Prices start at $8,086 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 13-Day Private Wildlife Safari Tour of Kenya and Tanzania take?

    +

Plan for about 312 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.

Is 13-Day Private Wildlife Safari Tour of Kenya and Tanzania worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 13-Day Private Wildlife Safari Tour of Kenya and Tanzania?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 13-Day Private Wildlife Safari Tour of Kenya and Tanzania suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 312-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 13-Day Private Wildlife Safari Tour of Kenya and Tanzania?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 312-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 13-Day Private Wildlife Safari Tour of Kenya and Tanzania start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nairobi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wild 5-Day Safari: Magical Mara, Nakuru Wonders & Hell's Gate, 2 Days Amboseli Safari using a 4x4 Landcruiser jeep(with options), Kibera Slum Tour with Lucas. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nairobi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nairobi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
