We had amazing safari experience with Perfect Safari. We saw more than “ big five”. It is unforgettable and incredible memory for us in lifetime. Big thanks to our guide Albert and Eli. Always spot animals at first place and found good place for our photos & videos. Took care of my senior parents, made us feel comfortable and safe on the road. Thanks to Elizabeth and Clara planning our trip and always responded quickly, resolved problems for us once reached out. Thank you for making our Safari experience so perfect.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt review! We are truly delighted to hear that you had such an amazing safari experience with Perfect Safari and created unforgettable lifetime memories with us. It means a lot to know that Albert and Eli took great care of your family, especially your senior parents, while ensuring you had the best wildlife sightings and wonderful photo opportunities. Honeymoon safari

We loved the organization of Perfect Safaris Africa. Right from the start, they were very flexible and adapted the tour to best fit our wishes. (We ended the tour in Arusha, as we were flying to Zanzibar after the safari). They were very response whenever we had any questions. The handover from our Kenyan guide to our Tanzanian guide at the border of Isebania went smoothly. In Kenya, Chris was our awesome guide. He gave his best to give us the best possible experience and tried to find all animals we wanted to see (Of course, there's always some luck involved - it's nature). He is amazingly good at spotting animals, even from far away. We were lucky to see all Big 5 (especially a lot of lions) as well as cheetahs. All in all, Chris was an outstanding guide, not only a driver. He taught us about the animal behaviour as well as Kenyan plants. Apart from that, you can also have interesting discussions about various topics, not only wildlife, but also about Kenyan culture and daily life. We had a great time with him. He even had a "Just Married" sign at the back of his Jeep and informed the lodges that we're on our honeymoon and some of them had decorated our room. Compared to Chris, our guide in Tanzania was rather a driver than a guide. He was rather looking where there are already other cars standing than searching for animals by himself. The accommodation in Tanzania were really nice and the staff very welcoming and friendly. Even if Lake Manyara also is an interesting National Park, we would not recommend visiting it at the end of the safari, as the difficult animal sightings (it's a quite dense forest) were disappointing compared to the animal density that we experienced in other parks before.

Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you for sharing your safari experience with Perfect Safaris Africa. We appreciate your detailed feedback and are thrilled to hear that Chris in Kenya provided an outstanding and informative guiding experience. It's unfortunate that your experience in Tanzania wasn't as satisfying in terms of guiding. Your insights are valuable, and we will take them into consideration for improvements. We hope you cherish the memories of your safari, especially seeing the Big 5 and other incredible wildlife moments. Regards Sylvia

12 days Kenya and Tanzania safari private lodge from Nairobi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.

How much does 12 days Kenya and Tanzania safari private lodge from Nairobi cost?

    +

Prices start at $5,865 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 12 days Kenya and Tanzania safari private lodge from Nairobi take?

    +

Plan for about 288 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.

Is 12 days Kenya and Tanzania safari private lodge from Nairobi worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 12 days Kenya and Tanzania safari private lodge from Nairobi?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 12 days Kenya and Tanzania safari private lodge from Nairobi suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 288-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 12 days Kenya and Tanzania safari private lodge from Nairobi?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 288-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 12 days Kenya and Tanzania safari private lodge from Nairobi start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nairobi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wild 5-Day Safari: Magical Mara, Nakuru Wonders & Hell's Gate, 2 Days Amboseli Safari using a 4x4 Landcruiser jeep(with options), Kibera Slum Tour with Lucas. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nairobi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nairobi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
