Day trip from Zurich
Great tour to the Swiss Alps. Plenty of fun and a great time. We had ample time for lunch and site seeing.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the great review! We're so happy to hear you had a fun and memorable time in the Swiss Alps. It’s wonderful that you felt there was enough time to relax, enjoy lunch, and take in the sights. We’d love to welcome you back for another adventure soon!

2/3 of trip was amazing!
We were never informed of any excursion changes prior, then when we showed up our tour guide was confused why Grindewald was even listed, and that wasn’t a part of it at all. We still highly enjoyed Interlaken and Harder Kulm, but really would have liked going to Grindewald as well or at least being informed that was no longer a part of the tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the beautiful sights of Interlaken and Harder Kulm. Both are truly stunning places that offer unforgettable views and moments. We appreciate you joining us and hope to welcome you on another tour soon for even more amazing adventures!

Avoid this tour and take a train instead
Consider taking a train from Zurich to Interlaken instead. This tour does not add any value! We got to the bus station, which is adjacent to the train station. We boarded a very cramped and full bus. We were told we would be stopping somewhere to pick up and drop passengers, which added a slight delay. Although this tour says Grindelwald, the guide took us to Lauterbrennan instead, so the tour title was deceptive. Once in interlaken, we were not informed of the one hour delay going up to Halder Kulm or on the way back down. While Halder Kulm is beautiful, you can buy tickets directly at their kiosks instead and do not need a guide to purchase them for you. We joined the line at 4:00 to head down to Interlaken and at 4:22, I messaged the guide that we may be late for the 4:50 departure. I sent 2 messages, by 5:05. No call was made to check in. We finally walked back to the parking lot by 5:15 and the bus had departed. We had to take a train back. There are three major flaws with this tour as compared to others: 1) no one reached to us to ask us where we were at 5 pm, 2) we did not go to Grindelwald as the tour title said, and 3) the tour operator did not inform us it was busy and we should plan for delays for the transport to Harder Kulm. I highly recommend taking a train from Zurich instead and enjoy the same sites!
Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that delays can sometimes occur, especially during busy periods, and we always try to inform our guests when possible. Regarding the itinerary, depending on weather and operational conditions, slight adjustments may be necessary for the safety and comfort of all participants — we apologize if this was not communicated clearly enough. As for the departure, our policy states that the bus leaves at the scheduled time to respect the other passengers, and unfortunately, we did not receive confirmation of your location in time to delay the departure. We appreciate your comments, which help us improve, and we are sorry again for any inconvenience caused. Best regards

Awesome time in Switzerland
Great time! Finding the pick-up location and bus number was complicated! There were two different address and we were not sure of which to go too, neither was it specified. Also, the bus number or slot number was not included. , once we finally arrived and located the bus/van everything was GREAT! The driver was informative and entertaining, the group of other guest were friendly and inviting. Overall it was amazing! This is my second trip w/ Viator once in the states and now abroad. I highly recommend it to anyone. Just be sure to communicate on location and other factors for pickup
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re so glad to hear that once you got settled, your Interlaken tour was amazing and that the driver added to the experience with great information and entertainment. Looking forward to welcoming you on another adventure soon!

Better than advertised!!
tony was by the far one of the best tour drivers I ever had. He got us to and from safely but he made the best recommendations for photo ops and places to go to get the best views and the most out of our experience. He went above and beyond when one of the ladies in my party inadvertently canceled her tour,he helped us rebook and made sure she did not get left behind. he even went above and beyond and provided ice cold waters to everyone on board, when that was not part of the tour. He was really awesome. The views were even better than described when booking. it was breathtaking. Although I didn't get too many days in Switzerland I feel like this excursions gave me all the perks in one trip...the Swiss alps, the fresh waters and lakes, the country side, the train, the cable cars, the cows and the cheese!!! it was amazing!!
Response from the operator: Dear guest, Waouhhhhh! we are so glad for your thoughtful review. We are thrilled to hear that Tona made such a positive impact on your experience. It's great to know you enjoyed the breathtaking views and all highlights of Switzerland, from the Alps to the cheese. We look forward to welocming you on another adventure soon. Regards

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Zurich: Interlaken & Harder Kulm Small Group Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zurich.
How much does Zurich: Interlaken & Harder Kulm Small Group Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $169 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zurich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Zurich: Interlaken & Harder Kulm Small Group Tour take?
+
Plan for about 11.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zurich is not rushed.
Is Zurich: Interlaken & Harder Kulm Small Group Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zurich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Zurich: Interlaken & Harder Kulm Small Group Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Zurich: Interlaken & Harder Kulm Small Group Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Zurich: Interlaken & Harder Kulm Small Group Tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zurich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zurich and add a light layer if any part of the 11.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Zurich: Interlaken & Harder Kulm Small Group Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zurich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Zurich?
+
On Outty we rank every Zurich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zurich Food Tour with 10 Local Delicacies, Cheeses & Chocolates, Private, excellent guided tour of Zurich (from CHF 21/pers.), Zürich Historic District Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Zurich?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Zurich?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
