    Austin Power!!

Austin was professional and very friendly at the same time. Since it was small group, I felt like we had private tour. Before booking, I felt like staying hour on each spot could be not enough but it was exactly right duration for emerald lake, natural bridge and takakaw falls. And he was very generous and flexible for the tour time and members. I wish every tour guides finds pleasure, achievement from their job because I got lots of information and exceptional experience from their guide. Thank you very much Austin!

Response from the operator: Thank you for the great review of your tour with Austin. He's a very passionate guide and we love having him as our Lead Tour Guide, simply because of the joy he brings to the team and to his tour guests!

    Don't Skip Yoho

Timed perfectly, this tour had just enough at each of the hot spots to take it in. Andy was very knowledgeable - providing info and answering questions along the way. It was a wonderful day, and the marvels of Yoho are well worth the time when in the Banff area if you have an extra day.

Response from the operator: Yoho really is a wonderful addition for anyone with an extra day in the Rockies! We’re glad the itinerary gave you enough time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed, and that Andy could add to the experience with his knowledge and answers along the way. Great Day in Yoho!

We had a great day in Yoho visiting Emerald Lake, Natural Bridge & Takakkaw Falls. Austin was our guide & he was very nervous ce & always made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Emerald Lake was beautiful & it was nice getting there early in the day to allow those who wanted to rent a canoe get in line before it got too long. We had ample time to explore the Lake & take it in before moving on to a quick visit at Natural Bridge. The tour finished off with Takakkaw Falls. It was a nice walk to the base of the falls & we had enough time to take pictures & enjoy the area. Overall, I would recommend this tour if you have already seen Lake Loiuse & Moraine Lake as Emerald Lake is stunning & right up there with the Banff Lakes.

Response from the operator: It sounds like you made the most of your day in Yoho! Getting to Emerald Lake early can make such a difference, especially for those hoping to rent a canoe, and we’re glad you had plenty of time to enjoy the lakeshore before continuing on to Natural Bridge and Takakkaw Falls. Austin will be happy to hear his care and attention helped make the day enjoyable. Thanks for the thoughtful recommendation!

    +

Is Yoho National Park: Emerald Lake and Takakkaw Falls worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Canmore, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Canmore and add a light layer if any part of the 7.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Canmore?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Canmore?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
