1. Haedong Yonggungsa

   This superb attraction offers visitors the rare find of a temple along the shore line as most temples in Korea are located in the mountains. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple was first built in 1376 by the great Buddhist teacher known as Naong during the Goryeo dynasty. The main sanctuary of the temple was reconstructed in 1970 with careful attention paid to the colors that were traditionally used in such structures. On the right-hand side, inside a cave, is a uniquely designed Buddhist sanctum, while situated just in front of the main sanctuary is a three-story pagoda with four lions. The four lions symbolize joy, anger, sadness, and happiness. Other special sites at the temple are the 108 stairs and stone lanterns lining the rocky landscape. After going down the 108 steps, one will be delighted with the beauty of the temple. Midway down the 108 steps one can stop and enjoy the calming sounds of the waves, and view the majestic sunrise. 2. Gwangandaegyo Bridge

   Gwangan Bridge is a landmark of Busan. The view of Gwangan Bridge from Gwangalli Beach is beautiful. Crossing the city using the Gwangan Bridge is a special experience.

3. Jagalchi Market

   Jagalchi Market, located on the seaside road in Busan's Jung-gu, is Korea's largest seafood market, selling both live and dried fish. After the Korean War, the market solidified itself as a fish market. Most of the people who sell fish are women, so the vendors here are called Jagalchi Ajumeoni, "ajumeoni" meaning middle-aged or married woman in Korean. This market represents Busan and is famous throughout the country. Visitors can eat fresh raw fish right at the market. Even nowadays visitors can see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and other seafoods on wooden boxes along the road outside of the market and along the shore.

4. Yongdusan Park

   Yongdusan Park, home to Busan Tower and 70 different species of trees, is one of the city's residents' favorite places to relax. It is called Yongdusan because the shape of the mountain resembles that of a dragon. Yongdusan Park covers approximately 69,000 ㎡. There are cafes and the Busan Aquarium. The night view of the city from the 120-meter-high Busan Tower is not to be missed. There is also the statue of Admiral Lee Sunsin, a great commander of the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910) and the monument to the 19.4 revolution, the anti-government student revolt.

5. Busan Gamcheon Culture Village

   It is one of the most representative places to show the hard lives of refugees after the Korean War. Currently, it has become a representative tourist destination in Busan with colorful and beautiful houses, murals, and artworks. At this place, you can delight in the flavors of "moolbangul tteok" (raindrop rice cake), "kkul aiseukurim" (honey ice cream), and "mashimello aiseukurim" (marshmallow ice cream). 7. Taejongdae

Visitors can enjoy walking on the forested paths, or take the train course to easily access Taejongdae Observatory and Yeongdo Coastal Culture Space
