1. Haedong Yonggungsa

   As one of the only ocean side Buddhist temples in all of South Korea, Haedong Yonggungsa is also one of the country’s most unique places of worship. With more than 600 years of history, the temple is known for its unusual location and mystical occurrence

2. It is a tourist complex under the new name of East Busan Tourist Complex, and is being developed by Busan City with the aim for a high-quality multi-purpose marine leisure city with four seasons, befitting the global city of Busan with beautiful coastal scenery. Currently, the facilities include National Busan Science Museum, Lotte Premium Outlet East Busan, Haeundae Beach Golf Club, and Ananti Penthouse. A Hilton Hotel, Aqua World and IKEA will be constructed.

3. Gijang in Busan is a seaweed and anchovy-populated region that is famous nationwide. Records show that seaweed and anchovy cultivation in Gijang stretches back to the Joseon period, and they have been considered the best-known seafood from Gijang for centuries. Daebyeon Port is a natural fishing village which is rare in the south of the East Sea and is well-known for raw anchovy and raw cutlass fish. It is centered around Daebyeon and Muyang Villages and local restaurants. There is always fresh raw anchovy and anchovy stew, which can be enjoyed only at Daebyeon Port. Anchovy fishing boats line the entrance of the village. Every year in April, an anchovy festival is held to enable experiencing of anchovy netting, free tastings, and more.

4. Gijang Market

   Shop for various seafood treats at Gijang Market. With its quaint design, the complex offers a shopping experience with all the characteristics of the country's traditional street markets. Take a walk among numerous colorful vendors offering food, souvenirs, and clothes. Most importantly, though, make sure you taste the local cuisine, which specializes in a wide variety of crab dishes. 5. Jukseong Dream Cathedral

   The ocean of Gijang that retains the emerald color of the East Sea is a location visited by many people. On sunny or cloudy days, it is a great location for driving along the coast, where romantic cafés offer a great view. Visitors always stop by the Jukseong Catholic Church in Gijang. The Jukseong Catholic Church in Jukseong-ri, Gijang-gun, Busan, has an uncommon mood to it because of its location in a small fishing village. Similar to a coastal village in the middle ages, the landscape is as pretty as a picture. The white foam that splashes over the rocks contrasts against the red roof of the church, grabbing the attention of visitors.

6. Haeundae Dalmaji-gil Road

   Called Busan’s Montmartre, Dalmaji-gil Road is famous for its views of the blue ocean, white sandy beach, Camellia forest, and pine tree forest, creating one of Busan’s eight scenic sites.

7. Songjeong Beach

   Songjeong Beach stretches for 1.2 kilometers with a x_width of 57 meters. The white sandy beach is ideal for families with young children because of its shallow waters. The beach offers clean water, and a more peaceful atmosphere than the popular Haeundae and Gwangalli Beaches in downtown Busan. It is also very popular as a photography venue for pre-wedding photoshoots. The area around the beach offers many hoe (sliced raw fish) restaurants.

8. Haeundae Beach

   Haeundae Beach is an urban beach in Busan, South Korea. Often dubbed one of the country's most famous and popular beaches, it is located in the eponymous Haeundae District

9. Dongbaekseom

   Dongbaekseom Island is an island located in Busan, near the famous Haeundae Beach. The island honors Scholar Choi Chi-won. You can visit this island through a long walking path. You will pass by different points of attraction such as the mermaid statue (it represents the legendary heart breaking love story of the princess of Topaz from the Naranda country beyond the Sea. In this country lived a mermaid who was married to the King of Mungungnara. She shed many tears longing for her homeland and reflected on the topaz bead given by her grandmother-in-law), the Nurimaru APEC House, the Carved stone.

10. Gwangandaegyo Bridge

    The Gwangandaegyo or Diamond Bridge is a suspension bridge located in Busan, South Korea. It connects Haeundae-gu to Suyeong-gu. The road surface is about 6,500 meters long, with the bridge as a whole spanning 7,420 meters. It is the second longest bridge in the country after the Incheon Bridge. 11. Shinsegae Dept. Store Centum City

    Shinsegae Department store is defined as the largest shopping complex in the world and is a landmark of Busan. Visitors can also enjoy numerous entertainment options in the complex such as a spa, an ice rink, golf, a cinema theater and restaurants.

12. Busan Cinema Centre

    The center as the exclusive venue of BIFF which is the greatest film festival in Asia but also has become one of the world famous film festivals, opened on September 29, 2011 thanks to the aspiration of film professionals longing for constructing an official theater for BIFF and the strong will of Busan metropolitan city aiming at being a representative Asian movie • visual city.

13. Igidae Park

    The Igidae Coastal Walk features 4.7 kilometers stretching from Igidae Dongsaengmal to Oryukdo Sunrise Park. The course takes roughly one hour to complete at a leisurely pace. Just relax and walk along the beautiful landscape with a bottle of cool water and enjoy the forest on one side, the sea on the other. It is a great place where trekkers of various skill levels can find a path that best meets their abilities. Take a well-deserved break at the jagalma-dang (pebble beach) or at the observation area along the way. As a welcome bonus, the Igidae Coastal Walk is a wonderful alternative destination to view the annual fireworks that light up the night sky every late October over beautiful Gwangalli Beach and the surrounding environment.

14. UN Memorial Cemetery

    The UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea honors UN soldiers from 16 countries and UN aids from five countries that were killed in battle during the Korean War from 1950-1953. It is the only memorial cemetery in the world dedicated to UN soldiers. While the cemetery originally held up to 11,000 graves, most of the fallen soldiers were repatriated at the request of their families, with only 2,300 graves remaining. The serene park spreads across a grassy plain area of 135,000 square meters. Some notable sites and memorials include: Memorial Service Hall, Memorabilia Hall, two Turkish Monuments, Greek Monument, Australian Monument, British Commonwealth Monument and two ponds.

15. Oryukdo Skywalk

    Oryukdo Skywalk is located at what was called Seungdumal, meaning a saddle, due to the shape of the point. It was also called Jallokgae by residents and female divers in the area. Iron columns were set up over a 35-meter-high coastal cliff, and a 15-meter glass bridge comprised of 24 glass plates and shaped like a horse’s hoof connect the iron columns. The glass flooring was made by four layers of 12-millimeter glass panels coated with a bulletproof film for a total thickness of 55.49 millimeters, making the structure quite safe. Visitors will be thrilled with the view of the waves while looking down through the transparent floor. The sea stretches out ahead of the skywalk, perfect for a photo op.

16. Taejongdae Resort Park

    Taejongdae Cliffed Coast was formed by many layers of rock being forced together beneath a lake during the Cretaceous period, and then worn away over time by the sea. The coast features many geological formations, including sea caves and uniquely shaped rocks. Visitors can enjoy walking on the forested paths, or take the train course to easily access Taejongdae Observatory and Yeongdo Coastal Culture Space.

17. Songdo Beach

    Opened in 1913, Songdo Beach is the first beach in Korea. After its golden period in the 1960s and 1970s, the beach became deserted. Those who wished to bring it back to its former beauty joined forces to repair the abandoned beach, making it even more breathtaking than it was in its heyday. With its spotless sandy beach, clear water, cloud trails, and an overwater cable car, Songdo Beach is once again a popular tourist destination receiving over five million visitors per year. Drink in spectacular coastal views of Songdo Beach from a scenic marine cable car ride. See the vast waters, cliffs, and rock formations. Opt for the transparent crystal cabin to see Yannan Park, Nampodong City, and Nangang Bridge.

18. Busan Gamcheon Culture Village

    Gamcheon Culture Villiage is formed by houses built in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain, earning this village the nickname "Machu Picchu of Busan." Many alleys that cut through this community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents.

20. Gukje Market

    Originally formed by Korean War refugees, this downtown market has grown into Busan's largest. Here you can find the best wholesale prices for clothing, silk, linen, curtains, bags, glasses, and many imported items. Similar to Namdaemun Market in Seoul, the stores are small and the vendor-filled alleys are narrow. Kukje Market spills out into the streets and continues into Kwangbok-dong & Namp'o-dong. Along its southern boundary is the Jagalchi Fish Market

21. Busan Tower

    Busan Tower is a symbol of Busan that stands proudly at 69 meters above sea level at a height of 120 meters. The top of the tower is modeled after the baldaquin of Dabotap Pagoda in Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju. Loved by Busan citizens and tourists alike, the tower offers a stunning night view and plenty to see, such as the Statue of the Great Admiral Yi Sun-sin, the Bell of the Citizens, a flower clock and a bust of the Busan-based independent activist, Baeksan An Hee-je.

22. Jagalchi Market

    This market represents Busan and is famous throughout the country. Visitors can eat fresh raw fish right at the market. Even nowadays visitors can see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and other seafoods on wooden boxes along the road outside of the market and along the shore.

23. Hwangnyeongsan Observatory, following the colorful transmitting towers and the different lights around the observatory. The night view seen from the mountains is fascinating. Hwangnyeongsan Observatory provides the best panoramic view of the eastern, western, northern, and southern parts of Busan all at once. This observatory encompasses multifarious night views ranging from spectacular lighting emitted by towering buildings in downtown areas to the subtle scenery filled with colorful lights beneath the foot of the mountain.

24. When the lights lit up after sundown, the nightscape of the Marine City can compete with world famous nightscape locations such as Hong Kong and Shanghai. With various restaurants, cafes and bars along the street, it is a popular destination for people of all ages.

25. Gwangalli Beach is 1.4 km long, 25~110 m wide, and is famous for its fine sand. The area has undergone a water cleaning program, and as a result, the water of the beach is pristine, drawing many young tourists. In addition to the beachfront, the Gwangalli area is filled with romantic restaurants and cafes, as well as stores selling famous fashion brands. The area has plenty to offer, but many people come in the evening to take in the bright lights of Gwangandaegyo Bridge, stretching across the horizon.
