    What you'll see and do

    1. Bridger Teton National Forest

Willow Creek’s Signature 1/2 Day Lunch Ride (10 AM Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday). This ride will provide you with a complete horseback riding experience, with lunch included. Depending on trail conditions and water flow, your ride will be one of these two equally beautiful routes: Creek Crossing Ride: Starting out with a ride past Ann’s Pond and continuing over Ann’s Ridge, the reward at the top is a 360 degree view of the valley and the Teton mountain range. After taking in the views, we continue down to Willow Creek, riding parallel the water (crossing the creek 4 times when conditions permit), bringing us to our lunch spot. Historic Rim Rock Ranch: You’ll travel back in time down the Bryans Flat logging road, where Oxen and carts hauled the lumber that would be used to help build Jackson Hole. On most days, the Teton Range is visible as we approach our lunch spot in the valley where the historic Rim Rock Ranch once stood.

    Iconic views

Unreal ride. Just iconic views and a lovely time. I was at the back of the pack and couldn’t hear the guide but my family that could totally loved her. She was super conscientious and helpful. Horses were well behaved. Do note that this will cost you physically! We were so sore and tired afterward so plan accordingly. 1000% worth it. It was a huge splurge for us and we would definitely say if you can handle the half day trip you should go for it.

Response from the operator: thank you so much we also love the views we get to share. I have been here many years and those views never get old. thank you again Richard

    Worth every penny

We did the half day ride with lunch and it was incredible. Highly recommend. It’s a long ride, so you get a range of different views and experiences along the trail. Our guide Nancy was awesome and really tailored the experience to us. We ended up on a ride with just us and the guide, which was so nice. Would do it again in a second (although we may need a few days for our inexperienced legs to recover from the ride!).

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for Joining us. I will pass this on to Nancy. Hope to see you again Soon. Richard

Jackson on the Rocks 2025 Family trip @ Willow Creek Ranch

My Family and I (7 in total) booked the half day private ride with a photographer and lunch. Richard & Maggie our photographer and guide were outstanding. From the booking process to our arrival and departure it was an amazing experience. The horses were great and the views breathtaking. I would highly recommend booking with them.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the nice review. this was one of the last rides of the season and I was so happy I got to go with you. You were a great group and would love to have you come back and take more family pictures out at Willow Creek. Thank you again Richard

Amazing half-day ride — Nora was the best!

We had an amazing half-day ride at Willow Creek! We got our own personal guide which made it feel extra special. Nora was fantastic — so sweet, very knowledgeable, and made us feel completely at ease the whole time. She and the team were welcoming from the start, and the scenery through the was unbelievable. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommend if you’re looking for something more personal and memorable than a big group ride!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for joining us at Willow Creek. I will let Nora know about this good review this year. We were so fortunate to see more moose than we have ever seen. Thank you for joining us on this special year. Please join us again thank you, Richard.

Willow Creeks Signature Half Day Ride with Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jackson.

How much does Willow Creeks Signature Half Day Ride with Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $595 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jackson usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Willow Creeks Signature Half Day Ride with Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jackson is not rushed.

Is Willow Creeks Signature Half Day Ride with Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jackson, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Willow Creeks Signature Half Day Ride with Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Willow Creeks Signature Half Day Ride with Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Willow Creeks Signature Half Day Ride with Lunch?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jackson can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jackson and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Willow Creeks Signature Half Day Ride with Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jackson within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jackson?

    +

On Outty we rank every Jackson experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whitewater Rafting in Jackson Hole : Family Standard Raft, Sunrise 4-Hour Grand Teton Wildlife Adventure, Snake River Scenic Float Trip with Teton Views in Jackson Hole. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jackson?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jackson?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
