Amazing! Everything was fine, the landscape is wonderful!

Everything was wonderful! Everything was fine! The landscape amazing and our guide takes us pictures during the walk…

    Did not meet expectations

The walk itself could have been done in about 15 minutes, but lasted about an hour with photo shootings, not included the photos taken before the walk. The snack in the kota lasted more than one hour, I booked this tour because of the snowshoe hike, not because of the kota. So of a 3-hour trip just 15 minutes of hiking. Then 8 photos of me and 9 of my companion but 15+ of the other participants. And last but not least, we paid 60 Euros to get picked up outside of Rovaniemi, an then you contacted us in the morning one hour before pickup to tell us, you could pick us up one whole hour later than planned, because you would pass our hotel anyway on the way to the hike - 60 Euros!!! Sorry guys, but really really disappointing. Would expect a partial refund of this trip! Only positive reviews for the clear images and the interesting information of the finnish and sami culture.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We completely understand your frustration, especially with the timing and the focus of the tour. Regarding the snowshoe walk, we strive to offer a balance between all parts of the activity and the photo opportunities, but we can see how the extended photo sessions might have affected your experience, especially since you were primarily looking forward to the snowshoe hike. However, photography is always a part of our tours and the edited photos are included for everyone in the group. We aim to provide everyone with memorable pictures, and we’ll work on ensuring that each participant has their fair share of photos. As for the change in pickup time, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused. We understand that such last-minute changes can be frustrating, especially when there’s a cost associated with the transportation outside the free pick-up zone. We’ll work on better communication to avoid any confusion in the future and are happy to refund you for this cost. Please feel free to reach out to us directly, and we will do our best to make things right. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we hope to have the chance to improve your experience in the future.

    FLUFFY SNOW

SO MUCH FLUFFY SNOW!!! This was such an incredible experience! Was amazing to wonder through the Forrest surrounded by pine trees covered in snow! Oren was amazing and allowed us to run around in all the deep snow and live our childhood dreams of making snow angels and having snowball fights (and managed to capture some great pictures on camera)! Oren also gave us some handy tips on how to build a fire and get it nice and hot!

    Unique Experience

A very unique experience that allows you to see some of the stunning wintry landscape in Lapland. Our host was friendly, helpful and determined to get some beautiful pictures of everyone to take home.

Great outing with a wonderful guide!

An amazing day in the wilderness with our wonderful guide, Sarah. She was so knowledgeable, engaged and made everyone feel welcome and included. The fire, sausages and Berry juice after the hike was sooooo hygge! (That's "cozy" in Danish). Thanks for a wonderful day!

Wilderness snowshoe adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.

How much does Wilderness snowshoe adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $124 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Wilderness snowshoe adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.

Is Wilderness snowshoe adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Wilderness snowshoe adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Wilderness snowshoe adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Wilderness snowshoe adventure?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Wilderness snowshoe adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
