Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel
Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel is the longest (2.5 miles) highway tunnel in North America, and the first designed for -40 Fahrenheit temperatures and 150 mph winds! The one-lane tunnel must be shared by cars and trains traveling in both directions, and it usually needs to be aired out in between trips (with jet turbine ventilation, another first!). This unique design that enables a single lane of traffic to travel directly over the railroad track saved tens of millions of dollars over the cost of constructing a new tunnel.

Beluga Point
Beluga Point Site is an archaeological location along Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 30, 1978. Artifacts of the area are evidence of early human habitation. Beluga Point North 1 (BPN1) artifacts are 8,000–10,000 years old and believed to be evidence of the oldest habitation in Anchorage municipality. Beluga Point is also a wildlife viewing area. Beluga whales can be sighted seasonally July through August as hundreds of the cetaceans visit Cook Inlet to feed on the Pacific salmon run.

Girdwood is a resort town within the southern extent of the Municipality of Anchorage. Located near the end of the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet, Girdwood lies in a valley in the southwestern Chugach Mountains, surrounded by seven glaciers feeding into a number of creeks, which either converge within the valley or empty directly into the arm.

Potter Marsh Bird Sanctuary
Potter Marsh, at the southern end of the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge, is an ideal break from Anchorage for birders and other wildlife viewers. From the Seward Highway just before the left turn into the Potter Marsh parking lot, you are treated to a stunning view of Turnagain Arm. A wooden boardwalk winds 1,550 feet from the parking area through the marsh and across watery openings and sedges, perfect habitat for a rich variety of birds. From late April through September, Canada geese, northern pintails, canvasback ducks, red-necked phalaropes, horned and red-necked grebes, and northern harriers use this wetland. Look for eagle nests in the cottonwoods near the base of the bluff using binoculars or a spotting scope.

Departing cruise tour with evening flight!
Absolutely amazing experience! At first, we thought the price was a little crazy, but it was 100% worth it. The tour was completely tailored to our needs. We told our guide what we felt like doing and seeing, and he delivered! Mike was absolutely amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and so accommodating. He made the entire day easy and enjoyable. If you have an evening flight after getting off your cruise in the morning, this is an amazing way to spend the day. We got to see so much, enjoy the area at our own pace, and have a fantastic experience without feeling rushed. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great way to transfer to Anchorage.
We had an excellent experience with Bill on our private transfer from Whittier to Anchorage. Bill was friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our group had a great day. When one member of our party unexpectedly needed to visit the emergency room, Bill handled the situation with incredible professionalism and kindness. Rather than simply waiting, he took the rest of our group on a tour of Anchorage so we could continue enjoying our time. Once our friend was discharged, Bill returned to the hospital and picked them up without hesitation. His local knowledge, positive attitude, and willingness to accommodate our changing circumstances turned what could have been a stressful day into a memorable and enjoyable experience. Great way to end our cruise
Our guide Tim was outstanding. The fish hatcheries, animal conservatory and the other stops along the way we're incredible. His knowledge of the history of Alaska and its wildlife is vast. Great safe driver and found us a fabulous place for lunch too.

Wonderful day with Bill!!
We were picked up in Whittier by our tour guide, Bill, who took us on a scenic journey from the cruise port down to Anchorage. Along the way, he shared so much interesting information and pointed out highlights we never would have noticed on our own. We stopped at some incredible sights as well to get some photos. Bill even recommended some great spots to eat once we arrived in Anchorage, which we took advantage of. He dropped us off so we could explore the city for a couple of hours, then picked us up at a local brewery around 4:30 and took us to the airport. Bill was awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We truly appreciated everything he shared with us and had a great time thanks to him! TY Ray Gaffney & Friends
