    Great experience!

We went on this tour with our 2 kids and had a great experience! The crew was wonderful! They were informative on the various sights as well as the whales we were seeing. We had great luck on whale sightings - a baby with 2 adults that were breaching frequently. The ocean was a bit choppy the day we were out, so after spending some time watching the whales, we went back to the Sea of Cortez to cruise around some more. They provided breakfast burritos and fresh fruit as well as an open bar for our tour. The food and drinks were great, as was their attentive service. Highly recommend this tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review, Andrea! We’re happy to read that your family had such a great time and that you enjoyed the whale sightings, attentive crew, and onboard food and drinks. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back again soon! :)

Great crew, service was great and crew was knowledgable! Whales were up and around the boat playing. Very cool!

Great crew loved being on a catamaran was the perfect size vs. the larger boats. Highly recommend this experience with Pez Gato!

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! Our team truly appreciates your kind words and enthusiasm. It means a lot to know you’d encourage others to join us. We hope to welcome you back for another wonderful adventure soon! :)

    Fantastic Day on the Sea

The whole day was very well organized, enjoyable, and great staff. The boat, food, and drinks made for an excellent day of whale watching and seeing other animals during the tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Matthew! We’re delighted to know that the tour met your expectations. We truly appreciate you choosing us and hope to welcome you back again soon! :)

Nice boat ride, not whale watching

Very friendly staff with excellent service and reasonable light lunch. Not much of a whale watching tour in that our excursion just followed/chased other boats and few whales that were located in the 1st 15 minutes. There was no effort made to locate other whales.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review and kind words about our staff and service. We're glad you enjoyed the light lunch. While we strive to provide the best whale watching experience, we must prioritize the safety of both our guests and the whales. Our crew does their best to locate whales, but we cannot control wild life. We appreciate your understanding.

Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cabo San Lucas.

How much does Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos cost?

    +

Prices start at $97 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cabo San Lucas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cabo San Lucas is not rushed.

Is Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 118 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cabo San Lucas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos?

    +

Around 41 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cabo San Lucas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cabo San Lucas and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cabo San Lucas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cabo San Lucas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Desert Off-Road & Beach Horseback Combo and Tequila Tasting, Cabo All-Inclusive Private Beach Club with Open Bar and Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
