Such a great day!
Go in with the right expectation. It’s not a super yacht. It’s a tour boat with plastic chairs. And it was awesome. We saw whales and could ask the marine biologist questions in Spanish or English. The crew were great! We loved our day.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your great review! We love how you described the experience — simple, authentic, and truly unforgettable. Whale watching is really about the magic of being out on the water and witnessing these incredible animals in their natural habitat, and we’re so happy you got to enjoy that. It’s wonderful to hear you appreciated the chance to interact with the marine biologist and that the crew helped make the day so enjoyable. Seeing whales up close is something special, and we’re glad it turned into such a memorable outing for you. Thank you again for joining us. We hope to welcome you back to Puerto Vallarta for another amazing day on the bay! 🐋🌊✨

Fun, informative and small whale watching cruise
Its much more intimate than the larger cruises. There was an open bar, fruit and granola for breakfast and late more chips salsa and guacamole. The crew was a BLAST !
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed the more intimate whale watching experience—it really makes a difference when you can relax and enjoy the moment out on the water. It’s great to know you liked the onboard snacks and open bar, and we’re especially glad the crew made the trip so much fun. They truly love sharing these incredible whale encounters with our guests! We appreciate you joining us and hope to see you again in Puerto Vallarta for another unforgettable day on the bay. 🐋🌊🥑🥂

Worst costumer service. Bad communication.
Be aware- We booked a whale watching tour and we missed the boat because they gave us the wrong meeting location. No one called us or emailed us to inform us that the meeting location had changed. We wasted a hole day because of them. Dismal Customer Service at this company. We paid for a tour to go to see the whales and went to the location that was on the confirmation and lost the ride because no one ever took the trouble to inform us that the meeting place had changed. We lost a day because of this bad company that they said had no way to communicate with us. I don't recommend it at all. Don't waste your time with them or your money.
Response from the operator: We carefully reviewed your comment and followed it to fully understand why this happened to be able to avoid future similar situations and found out , that it was a human error . We fix it placing the right person from now on and also adding closer supervision of every booking with an open follow up till the end of the service. Our clients are the most important part of our business we care. Please email us to hola@gopralia.mx to have a direct contact with you. We apologize sincerely for this situation, and look forward to find the best way to make it up for you.

Amazing experience! Highly recommend!
Crew was amazing and very knowledgeable about all the sea life. They had great food and drinks as well! This was a small group which we liked and we were up close and personal with the whales. Great experience would highly recommend them!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your comments, they are highly appreciated. Also Thank you for spreading the word. I’ll make sure the crew gets a copy of your comments too, they are going to be very happy!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Whale Watching The Best Of Puerto Vallarta: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Whale Watching The Best Of Puerto Vallarta cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Whale Watching The Best Of Puerto Vallarta take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Whale Watching The Best Of Puerto Vallarta worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Whale Watching The Best Of Puerto Vallarta?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Whale Watching The Best Of Puerto Vallarta suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Whale Watching The Best Of Puerto Vallarta?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Whale Watching The Best Of Puerto Vallarta start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
