    What you'll see and do

    1. Los Gigantes

You can choose to go on your own or travel by air-conditioned coach from your southern Tenerife hotel to a marina on the western coast of the island. Meet your friendly crew, and then board the deluxe Freebird One catamaran, a spacious, open-top boat with lower-deck lounge that offers a tranquil relaxation space away from the midday heat. As you leave the marina behind, stretch out on a sun lounger and bask in the glorious sunshine. Tenerife’s western coastline is postcard perfect, and its untamed shores are often considered as the island’s most scenic area. Gaze at the sparkling waves dancing around the boat, and treat yourself with a drink from the onboard bar. Chilled Champagne, wine, beer and soda are available, and the amount included is unlimited throughout your cruise. In no time at all, the towering Cliffs of Los Gigantes (Acantilados de Los Gigantes) slip into view, plunging from a great height down to the white-topped breakers of the Atlantic. Have your camera ready to capture photos of some of Europe’s tallest cliffs — aptly translated as ‘cliffs of the giants’ — surrounded by starkly beautiful black-sand beaches: an iconic Canarian sight. Dolphins and seabirds are often spotted around the area, so keep looking out for the marine life as you cruise. Continue to Masca Bay to cool off with a refreshing dip in the ocean, and discover the landscapes lying beneath the sea. If the water doesn’t tempt you, simply stay aboard the Freebird One to work on your tan or cool down in the shade of the air-conditioned lounge. A buffet featuring a selection of cold food, such as chicken paella or salad, is also available for you to enjoy while on board. From Masca Bay, cruise back to the marina where your air-conditioned coach awaits, ready to take you back to your hotel in southern Tenerife. The 3hr sailing does not go as far as Masca and Lunch consists of sandwiches. Drinks are included. This is still an amazing day out.

This was an excellent trip, all staff were friendly and courteous. We paid for the 4.5hrs trip with lunch and drinks, drinks included the usual lager, sangria, wine and soft drinks and were as expected. However, lunch I expected to be offered a choice of chicken/meatballs etc but all customers were just handed a tray of food which was rice & meatballs along with a small ciabatta type roll and a banana. The food was not of my choice and would recommend cold chicken salad or something easy, didn’t seem to be a vegetarian option although that might be on request. Aside from food, on boarding the catamaran we were offered a double luxury bed at the front on the boat for €25. I felt this option should be informed of prior to boarding. If you ended up at the back of the queue to board you could miss out on the offer unless others in front of you declined. Other option is to sit around the sides on other less comfortable seats. I did observe a family of 6 ppl periodically share the bed, the lady employee noticed and waved her finger indicating only 2ppl but she was ignored and the matter wasn’t taken further. Sights viewed were the cliffs, whales and dolphins (your luck on the day). I also noticed a father take his son to the female toilet and wish the staff would be more vigilant. We stopped for a swim for 30 mins then on the return journey we were aware of two others catamarans next to us and the captain encouraged all to start singing louder than the other 2 boats, great fun and fab music all day. Great day out and enjoyed the beds and the sea air!! Would definitely do it again provided I got a bed!!!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re delighted you enjoyed the trip, the atmosphere, music, and sea experience. We really appreciate your suggestions regarding the lunch options and the communication about the front beds, and we’ll take these points on board to improve the experience. We hope to welcome you back soon—and hopefully you’ll get your favourite bed next time!

    It was fine.

I have nothing overly positive or negative to share. We were able to book last minute, which was nice. I was assured via email the sunbeds were free to use via email and subsequently charged $25 on the boat. The 'swim' was less than 15 minutes and that was disappointing. The meal and drink accommodations were acceptable.

Response from the operator: Many thanks for your review. We dont know who emailed you about the beds but as on the product they are not included. Yes they do have to be paid for. The swim stop may not be that long as every person that takes a swim has to be watched and we need to make sure you are back on board. Safety comes first on all boat trips. Again thank you for taking the time to message us and we wish you a happy rest of you holiday here in Tenerife.

    Not bad after all

The company should have nformed about the change of temperature and strong wind situation. Moreover, the sofa lounge at the front of the boat us not free... 25 dollars more to pay on board

Response from the operator: Many thanks for a great review.

Western Tenerife Cliffs Cruise with Lunch and Open Bar: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does Western Tenerife Cliffs Cruise with Lunch and Open Bar cost?

    +

Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Western Tenerife Cliffs Cruise with Lunch and Open Bar take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is Western Tenerife Cliffs Cruise with Lunch and Open Bar worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 58 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Western Tenerife Cliffs Cruise with Lunch and Open Bar?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Western Tenerife Cliffs Cruise with Lunch and Open Bar suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Western Tenerife Cliffs Cruise with Lunch and Open Bar?

    +

Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Western Tenerife Cliffs Cruise with Lunch and Open Bar start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
