    Bucharest and Pitesti

We had a fantastic time with our guide Ovidiu. His detail and story telling really helped us understand the history of Bucharest and Romania. On day 2, we took a private family trip to Pitesti and because of his research was able to find evidence of a relative in the city. Ovidiu’s stories were great and he is adventurous, willing to do what was needed for us to enjoy the tours. Highly recommended !

Response from the operator: Dear Mitch, Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with us! We're delighted to hear that you had a fantastic time with Ovidiu as your guide. His dedication to detail and storytelling truly brings the history of Bucharest and Romania to life. It's amazing that he was able to help you find evidence of a relative in Pitesti through his research. We're glad to hear his adventurous spirit and commitment to ensuring you enjoyed the tours made your trip memorable. Thank you for highly recommending us. We look forward to welcoming you back for more adventures in the future! Best regards, Bogdan Savulescu

    Wonderful custom tour

We originally booked a private tour with Bogdan in 2020, just before Covid cancelled all plans. He stayed in touch, and we re-booked out tour. Really glad we did. He provided us with a customized car and walking tour of Bucharest and we were totally delighted. Felt like we got to "see it all" yet know there's so much more we need to come back for. Great English-speaking guide, with in-depth local knowledge. Happy to share information and personal experiences. Feel like we have a better understanding of Romania and its people, especially now with the Ukrainian-Russian war just across the border. Great tour of a beautiful city. Definitely would like to come back for a longer visit.

    Walking Bucharest

Outstanding guide who answered questions about everything that I asked him.All of the Churches that we visited were incredible and his knowledge of the art work and meanings was fantastic. As this was a private tour we concentrated on the various religions in Bucharest which I found so interesting. Thank you for a wonderful morning walking and learning about Bucharest.

    Excellent Experience. Highly Recommended

I visited Bucharest first time for work and good fortune that got half a day to myself during this trip. Reached out to a few tour providers at very short notice but Bogdan accepted. He was very swift in responding to email and text messages. Having done a couple to such tours in other parts of Europe, I would rate this one at the very best. There are a few reasons. Firstly, the Bogdan was extremely flexible and could easily get a pulse of what are my areas on interest and focused more on it. He went out of the way to ensure best experiences. He clubbed few surprises in the OLD TOWN and REVOLUTION SQ area which I wasn't even expecting- It was over and beyond surely. Secondly, having visited first time to Bucharest, I was oblivious to facts of such a wonderful city which is full of heritage and character. Will surely come back with family too !! Thank you

Response from the operator: Dear Arun, Thank you very much for your kind words, I am pleased to know that you had an excellent time in Bucharest. Thanks for sharing your experience here! I am looking forward to meet you and your family again to explore even more regions of this beautiful country. Kind regards, Bogdan

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bucharest.

How much does Walking Tour of Bucharest City Center - Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $115 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bucharest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Walking Tour of Bucharest City Center - Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bucharest is not rushed.

Is Walking Tour of Bucharest City Center - Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bucharest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Walking Tour of Bucharest City Center - Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Walking Tour of Bucharest City Center - Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Walking Tour of Bucharest City Center - Private Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bucharest and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Walking Tour of Bucharest City Center - Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bucharest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bucharest?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bucharest?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bucharest?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
