Amazing experience
This was an amazing day and a highllighg of Oman. Whilst the tour started a little disappointing in that our driver did not turn up so I had to track the operator down and they turned up over an hour later, they made up for the error and took great care to ensure we had a good day. The Wadi Shab was magnificent and we swam to the cave at the end which was well worth the extra effort. A few things would have been helpful to know , wear shoes you can walk through the water / rocks in , take a water proof case for your camera if you want photos in the cave. An amazing experience. Our guide that was arranged for us as an extra complimentary offer was fantastic and made the day great.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We’re truly glad to hear that your day turned into an amazing highlight of your trip to Oman, even though it didn’t start as expected. We sincerely apologize for the delay with the driver — that should not have happened. We appreciate your patience, and we’re happy we could make it right and ensure you still had a memorable day. We’re very pleased to hear that your complimentary guide helped make the day fantastic. We hope to welcome you again for a smoother and equally unforgettable adventure next time.

Fabulous Way to Spend an Afternoon
Terrific trip to Wadi Shab with what is surely Oman's friendliest, most knowledgeable guide, Monther Aljabri. To get the most out of the trip, be sure to pack sturdy sandals and a towel. There's a delightful little swim in shallow water at the end.
Response from the operator: Dear Traveler, Thank you for your valuable feedback! Oman is famous for its natural beauty and hospitality and the Omani people are famous for their friendliness and warmth. Indeed a superb combination. It has been a great pleasure for our team to assist you with your travel needs. And we are looking forward to welcoming you again, Cheers!

Amazing!
Wadi al Shad is an amazing natural treasure that must be visited. The landscapes are surreal! We visited with our guide Monther, who was very nice and took us there safely so we could enjoy this amazing place! The hiking can be tricky at some points, so don't go alone, it's better to get a guide.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Glad to know that you enjoyed the hiking experience with our guide Monther. Indeed it is a hike that requires the assistance of an experienced Guide! Thank you for choosing us. And we wish to welcome you again.

WADI SHAB - Muscat, Oman: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Muscat.
How much does WADI SHAB - Muscat, Oman cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Muscat usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does WADI SHAB - Muscat, Oman take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Muscat is not rushed.
Is WADI SHAB - Muscat, Oman worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Muscat, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule WADI SHAB - Muscat, Oman?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is WADI SHAB - Muscat, Oman suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book WADI SHAB - Muscat, Oman?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Muscat can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Muscat and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does WADI SHAB - Muscat, Oman start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Muscat within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Muscat?
+
On Outty we rank every Muscat experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Private Muscat City Tour - Top Landmarks in Just 4 Hours, Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole Group Full Day Tour, Daymaniyat Islands Snorkeling Sharing Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Muscat?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Muscat?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
