    Not recommendable

We did a tour on La Gomera, stayed on the island. To start with the positive: the tour itself was ok, not very original though. The bad part: the seating within the jeep was really really uncomfortable, we are about 1,80, unthinkable for even taller people. The worst part: our German speaking guide didn’t explain anything, he basically dropped us off and didn’t say another word. Truthfully - the whole tour was a big waste of time and money. Not recommendable. The worst part: the company didn’t even reply to my complaint. Unprofessional.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry the La Gomera tour didn’t meet your expectations and that you found the seating uncomfortable. Our Jeep Safari tours are designed as a 4x4 adventure experience, in small groups and with vehicles that have a different configuration from a standard minibus or car. All seats used are authorised for passenger transport, but we understand that this type of vehicle may not be comfortable for everyone. We also regret reading that your complaint was not answered. That is not the level of communication we aim to provide, and we’ll take this into account to improve our follow-up process. Thank you for your comments; they help us improve.

    Lovely tour

Really lovely tour, nicely paced. Plenty of time to explore and take pictures. We were small group of just 3 people so there was plenty of space in the van to spread out. Our tour guide and driver Hendrik was friendly and told us some very interesting facts about the island. It was a really lovely day! Thank you

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! 🙌 We’re really happy you enjoyed the pace of the tour and had plenty of time to explore and take photos. Small groups are one of the best ways to experience the island comfortably, so it’s great to hear you had plenty of space and a relaxed day. Thanks as well for your kind words about our team and the interesting insights along the way 😊 We’d love to see you again on your next visit — and if you travel around, we’ll also be happy to welcome you in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria!

    Much better than driving yourself!

Neil was knowledgeable and very informative about many aspects of living in Tenerife. His local knowledge avoided traffic at the busier tourist sites. From the South, we drove along the coast to Masca, Garachico, Icod De Los Vino and on for lunch in La Orotava (near Puerto De La Cruz). After lunch, we cut through the centre of the island passing near the summit of Teide and the National Park. In many places, the roads were narrow and the inclines were steep. We were in a Mercedes people carrier - total group of eight. We enjoyed the company, and the tour was conducted in English. We were collected from near our hotel at 8.15am and dropped back to the hotel at approximately 5pm. The meal was standard but fine. We ate in a lovely 400 year-old building. We saw places we would never have gone to by ourselves and there were lovely opportunities for photos. The scenery was amazing and the towns were each worth a much longer visit to explore them. The only issue with this trip is that there was not enough time to explore the various locations but it was so much better than driving yourself! Thank you Neil. Good job!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this amazing 5-star review! 🙌 We’re delighted you enjoyed the route and the variety of places you visited — Masca, Garachico, Icod and La Orotava are truly special, and we love that you felt it was “so much better than driving yourself”. Thanks as well for highlighting the local knowledge, the smooth logistics, and the tour in English. We also appreciate your note about the time at each stop. These full-day routes try to balance seeing several highlights with travel time, but we totally understand wanting longer in each place — and we’ll keep working on that balance. We’d love to welcome you again on a future visit! 😊 And if you travel around the islands, we’ll also be happy to see you in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria.

    Disappointing

Very disappointing and not worth the money. However I must begin by complimenting our driver, Robert, on his excellent driving skills which averted at least 4 collisions but he was not a guide… This was basically a high priced taxi ride around one third of the island in a decrepit and loud mini van which rattled to the extent that without any form of communication system the few words of information imparted by the driver could only be heard by the client sitting in the front seat. The itinerary was followed but at each stop all we got was an instruction to be back at a certain time. We alighted the van at the Drago point without any idea of the importance of Drago and if it hadn’t been for a client with a mobile phone, we would have remained ignorant of why we were there. The same applied for each and every stop. Lunch was very ordinary. This was most certainly not a VIP experience and all 7 of us were very dissatisfied!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your comment and so sorry if the experience with us was not what you expected. We will take in consideration and will try to improve.

A good way to see popular turistic spots in short time.

A nice trip if you want to see a popular turistic spots in Tenerife in short time. Some stops could keep at least 10 minutes more, to explore and enjoy the place ( mainly Masca). From my point of view, I would omit lunch at La Otorava from this trip. The appetizer was tasty ( olives, typical spanish cheese and salami). But we had warm wine as aperitive. The soup was not tasty and not only in my opinion, the dessert too. The canary potatoes were very tasty. The whole trip was informative becase the guide explained the whole history and interesting things of the island in the funny way.I liked it at Icod de Los Vinos in the souvenir shop, where there was a tasting of sauces, jams and Canarian alcohol. The store was nice with interesting assortment, but some things were very overpriced compared to other similar stores on the island.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review! We're going to check the timing in order to improve the experience.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does VIP Grand Tour Isla de Tenerife from South Tenerife cost?

How long does VIP Grand Tour Isla de Tenerife from South Tenerife take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is VIP Grand Tour Isla de Tenerife from South Tenerife worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 47 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule VIP Grand Tour Isla de Tenerife from South Tenerife?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
