What you get

    About this experience

After crossing by ferry in VIP seating – with drinks included – Soon, you'll be climbing up from sea level through ravines. There's a pit stop in the hamlet of Chejelipes, where you can take some snaps by its reservoir. Next up are the valley village of Hermigua and Agulo, a hamlet that looks down towards the north coast. It's famed for its dinky houses and views of Tenerife. But the cobbled alleys around its white-roofed, Greek-style parish church epitomise the romanticism of rural La Gomera. You'll ascend to the rim of Jurassic-like Garajonay – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – which is often shrouded in a misty horizontal rain, towards the visitor centre. Learn about the park's botany and history as well as its environmental protection programme. Plus, you'll visit an ethnographic museum, where you can sample some local delicacies. At a family-run restaurant, Then meander through laurel woods to Laguna Grande Forest.

The Garajonay National Park is a place one should see at least once in a lifetime!

The tour was well organized, and the guide kindly shared a lot about the island and its history/inhabitants in both German and English. The price-performance ratio is acceptable; the tickets and lunch are included in the price. VIP refers to the comfortable Olsen ferry ticket. It includes priority boarding, a drink (including beer), and chips, with front seating in both directions. The service on the Olsen ferry surpasses all other ferries I have boarded in Europe and America! Travel is done by coach. The drivers know the winding roads very well. The "Parque Nacional de Garajonay" can only be seen while passing by. The one-way street is narrow, and the tour is scheduled for a specific time. I hardly saw any rest area along the route. The fact that the bus does not make a stop applies to all other La Gomera tours, so a hike is not to be expected. The visit to the "Centro de Visitantes del Parque Nacional del Garajonay" was interesting, and we were allowed to move freely in the area. In the forest, we walked between the parking lot and the "Restaurante La Laguna Grande." The traditional meal was plentiful. A local demonstrated the whistled language to us. Getting to know the villages of Chejelipes, Hermigua, and Agulo? Only possible to take photos while passing by. But we made a stop near Hermigua at the "Terraza Restaurante Los Telares" with a view of "Roques Pedro y Petra." Here we learned how palm honey is produced and visited a small banana plantation. In a very interesting shop, we bought local products that are rarely found elsewhere. We walked freely in San Sebastian for about 45 minutes before the crossing. A downside for most souvenir shops, which also applies to Tenerife. These are full of cheap Chinese goods. And everywhere there are always tons of the same souvenirs. Colorful, but worthless. We searched for local ceramics for a long time and rarely found anything suitable. Difficulty level: The tour is so easy that it can be done in flip-flops without age restrictions. Surprise: Behind "Destination Services Spain – Tenerife" lies TUI España Turismo as the organizer.

VIP Guided Tour of La Gomera with Garajonay Park and Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does VIP Guided Tour of La Gomera with Garajonay Park and Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does VIP Guided Tour of La Gomera with Garajonay Park and Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is VIP Guided Tour of La Gomera with Garajonay Park and Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule VIP Guided Tour of La Gomera with Garajonay Park and Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is VIP Guided Tour of La Gomera with Garajonay Park and Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book VIP Guided Tour of La Gomera with Garajonay Park and Lunch?

    +

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does VIP Guided Tour of La Gomera with Garajonay Park and Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
