Our bike tours were one of the first on the Paris bike scene nearly 2 decades ago, and we like to keep that feeling of community on tour. For this reason, and unlike other bike tours of Versailles, we limit our group sizes. We also warmly welcome you at our very own café, and our guide rides the train to Versailles with you- so you’re taken care of the whole way. Join our family for a day, and experience our version of Versailles! We’ve planned an unforgettable day trip from Paris, cruising through the town of Versailles for the amazing local market, heading into Versailles’ grounds & gardens, Marie Antoinette’s village, and the Trianons. After the picnic, we make our way to the Chateau. You’ll then explore the palace at your own pace. Our tour makes history accessible. It’s about getting the juicy important details of Versailles plus the fun stories and quirky anecdotes. It’s simply about an unforgettable day in the countryside, tickets included

Outstanding, but a long day
This is excellent, but a long day. it was 9.5 hours to return to our meeting point, even after rushing thru the palace. Marley was informative, funny and explained the history associated with Versailles with flair. There is no guide inside the palace

This is the only way to really see Versailles
What a great experience. Our group of 16 met our guides Marley and Ryan early at Le Peloton Cafe in Paris, where we had coffee, used les toilettes, and got train tickets. Then they shepherded us onto the RER C train, making sure that we did not get separated or lost. Marley led the tour and Ryan guarded the rear, helping those who had issues and answering questions. Their English was flawless. Lots of information provided, plus many funny stories, and they really looked after us (our ages ranged from 25 to upper 70s). The bikes are comfortable with front baskets and a rear platform if you want to clip your bag (I carried mine on my back with no problem) and the route is clearly explained. We enjoyed shopping at the town market for lunch and had a nice cup of coffee at Juliette's, which was recommended and lived up to expectations. After two former trips to the Versailles palace, this time I FINALLY was able to see the many outdoor spaces that are just too far to reach by foot. It was not too strenuous for a chunky woman in her mid-60s; I did practice biking a very little at home beforehand and managed quite well. There's one slightly uphill section on gravel; you can walk your bike through that. Easily one of the greatest experiences I've had on a trip. I brought my helmet but it is not necessary (and you will have to stow it in your bag when you enter the palace later). Bring your raincoat if the weather looks threatening. We biked in the rain for most of the day and enjoyed it nonetheless.

A Highlight of Every Versailles Group Trip!
Our Grand Rapids Travel group had a fantastic experience with the Versailles Bike Tour! It was such a fun and unique way to see the beautiful gardens and explore all that Versailles has to offer. Having the train ticket included was also a huge plus, and it made everything so convenient. Our guide, Christian, was absolutely fabulous! He made the entire booking process seamless, and the day itself was fantastic from start to finish. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience so enjoyable for our group. I would definitely send my groups here again! I loved this attraction and think it’s a wonderful option for groups visiting Paris and Versailles. Highly recommend

An absolute must if going to Versailles.
Marley was our tour guide. She is Super knowledgeable and engaging. She also took good care of the group making sure all together and safe. Definitely the only way to get most out of Versailles visit ! No way to see the grounds without bikes and understand the full scale of Versailles. Seeing palace alone is only one part and not worth the travel there. Spend the day with Marley wonderful experience from beginning to end!

Informative and fun
The Versailles bike tour exceeded our expectations. The guide Marley was knowledgeable and fun. She gave the historical facts in an accessible and thought provoking way. Her insights and tips as we rode round the Palace and gardens were invaluable. We would highly recommend this tour.

Versailles Bike Tour with Palace Entry by Train from Paris: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.
How much does Versailles Bike Tour with Palace Entry by Train from Paris cost?
+
Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Versailles Bike Tour with Palace Entry by Train from Paris take?
+
Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.
Is Versailles Bike Tour with Palace Entry by Train from Paris worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 623 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Versailles Bike Tour with Palace Entry by Train from Paris?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Versailles Bike Tour with Palace Entry by Train from Paris suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Versailles Bike Tour with Palace Entry by Train from Paris?
+
Around 218 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Versailles Bike Tour with Palace Entry by Train from Paris start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Paris?
+
Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based), Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Paris?
+
April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Paris?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
