Nice place to jog or bike or walk. Come with friends who love nature. Nice for a family day out to talk and bond. Dress in comfortable shoes for the place is big...you can easily do 3 km!

Lovely bike ride and walk
The waterfall! Cannot recommend this enough. Take a bike at gate c or you can still take a leisure walk in the quite forest reserve

Wonderful walk in the forest
Our guide Lewis was excellent, very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and energetic! We were able to have a relaxing yet invigorating hike through different parts of the park including different forested areas, the caves and falls, and the lilly pond area. We were able to see many of the animals the preserve is known for, some of them up close. We learned a lot about the flora and fauna of the area. The guide was helpful, pleasant and engaging. A very enjoyable experience; we were glad we had taken it! One note: for some reason our ticket had a meet-up/pickup place on it that was incorrect (Kimathi St/Hilton); the correct location was Gate C of the park.
Response from the operator: We are delighted you booked the tour with us and had an amazing time with your partner. We have taken note of the location and updated the experience to indicate the new meet-up/pick-up location at Gate C along Kiambu road..

Worthwhile experience
This was a very worthwhile experience, Richard and Lewis were very kind. Lewis was very patient and always made sure I was ok. The park is very worthwhile, it has some animals that you can see in their natural habitat such as butterflies, birds and some monkeys. Views were amazing. It was just what I needed to disconnect from work and Nairobi traffic. I highly recommend doing this tour and as an additional tip, it's a good idea to bring a sun hat, a light jacket in case it rains and to hydrate yourself properly. Thank you!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review and insightful feedback. It will be invaluable not only to us but also to anyone else who plans to visit Karura forest. With your help, we can ensure that everyone enjoys a peaceful and rejuvenating experience, far from the chaos of Nairobi's busy streets. Karibu Tena.

Best Guide ever
The city forest tour was very interesting. With Kimani, I not only had an excellent guide, but also a very cool, open-minded person at my side. The city forest itself convinces with its nature and the tranquility you have there in the middle of the capital. Many different trees, birds, insects and other animals await you here. There are more than enough beautiful places to pause, pause and enjoy the diverse nature. I can only recommend it to anyone.
Response from the operator: Am delighted you had an amazing experience and enjoyed my company on the tour as we explored Karura Forest. The Urban Forest is best place to get away from the busy city and see the magnificent forest. Ideal for walks and those interested in running. We look forward to hosting you again in Magical Kenya.

Urban Forest Tour in Nairobi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does Urban Forest Tour in Nairobi cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Urban Forest Tour in Nairobi take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is Urban Forest Tour in Nairobi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Urban Forest Tour in Nairobi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Urban Forest Tour in Nairobi suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Urban Forest Tour in Nairobi?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Urban Forest Tour in Nairobi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
