Motorcycle trip to Lo Mantang

Thank you Shaktiman for being with us in the amazing adventure. You were always ready to go the extra mile and show us much more of Nepal than we would otherwise have seen. Your good humour and Josh made our trip even better! Thank you.

Top experience

The Anapurna trek is an unbeatable experience. We have been lucky to have favorable weather. The guide, Ram Adhikari, is very professional, and advised us perfectly, he knows the terrain and the stages perfectly. The porters are very friendly and professional. They make all the procedures as easy as possible for you. I recommend the experience, I would do it again, always accompanied by the same team of professionals.

Lifetime Experience of Mustang

Upper mustang had always been in my bucket list since the day I saw the mesmerizing vistas of the valleys and peaks, This all became possible and one of the life time experience when I met Hiking Adventure Team during their visit to India in a Travel Fair.. The experienced guide and hospitality of the team into the paradise of Mustang made my trip memorable for the life.. The team's warmth and kind treatment not only distinguished them for best trek team but today they are one of my trusted friends in Himalayan range of Nepal.. Looking forward to go for more such treks with Sajana and Team once the doors are open again for traveling 😊

Great journey - yet again

We wanted to run from the office and worklife, as far as we could. And we did. Sajana and her team helped us to create the best itinerary for our trip, allowing us to enjoy the most out of our limited time, while ensuring we'll have plenty of beers and couple of warm meals every day, to keep us alive for the next day. Our guid KB helped us to rent motorcycles in Lo Mantang, so we were able to roam around, visit the Nepal border, and have some fun while doing it, a nice change after the many days on route. I can not recommend this trek enough. The sceneries are breathtaking, the people are real, and there are minimum of other tourists, making the whole trip much more enjoyable, than the crowded EBC and other famous treks. As for Hiking Adventure Treks? We already have several plans for next year to choose from. It's always nice to travel with friends.

Response from the operator: Namaste Sluniq. Yes of course we look forward to travel with you again. Thank you so much for your beautiful experience sharing and recommendation.

Upper Mustang Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Upper Mustang Trek cost?

+

Prices start at $2,205 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Upper Mustang Trek take?

+

Plan for about 384 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Upper Mustang Trek worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Upper Mustang Trek?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Upper Mustang Trek suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 384-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Upper Mustang Trek?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 384-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Upper Mustang Trek start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Upper Mustang Trek?

+

+

+
