About this experience

Discover Ithaca, the eternal symbol of the journey. This cruise is a deep dive into the Ionian blue, where ancient mythology meets raw, untamed beauty. The adventure begins at Gidaki Beach, a crown jewel accessible only by sea. Its electric turquoise waters and white pebbles create a scene so vivid the boat seems to float in mid-air. Next, we glide into Vathy, the island’s charming capital. Wander through narrow alleys lined with red-tiled neoclassical houses and see the tiny Lazaretto islet. It is the heart of Ionian hospitality, where time slows down by the peaceful waterfront. We then reach Kioni, a stunning village hidden in a lush green cove. With flower-draped stone houses and ancient windmills, it is a living postcard and the ideal spot for a traditional lunch. The journey ends at ammoudi beach. These rugged rocks and crystal depths offer a final, meditative swim, capturing the true, eternal spirit of the Ionian.

Lovely day out, friendly staff, beautiful stops.

Loved this day out. Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Clean tidy boat, well organised day. Loved seeing Kefalonia, Ithaca and the mountains of mainland Greece from the sea. Lovely swim stops and time to have a bite to eat and a stroll during the other stops.

Great experience..Ithaca magic!!

This is the second year in a row that I have chosen Romantika Ithaca Cruises, and once again, it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The boat itself is spacious, beautiful, and very well maintained, with a fully equipped bar and plenty of comfortable areas both inside and outside. There is so much space to relax, enjoy the sunshine, and take in the breathtaking scenery and the magic of the journey around Ithaca. One of the most unforgettable moments of the day was spotting dolphins halfway through our trip — something I definitely wasn’t expecting! 🥰 It made an already beautiful day even more special. Captain Vangelis welcomed us with such warmth and friendliness that we immediately felt at home. Together with the rest of the crew, he created a relaxed, welcoming, and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the entire cruise. Everyone was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a wonderful time while always feeling safe. .You can truly feel the effort, passion, and care that the team puts into every detail. From the organisation and hospitality to the overall atmosphere on board, everything felt much more personal and thoughtfully managed. Thank you so much, guys, for such a memorable day! Keep up the amazing work ,your passion really shows, and we are sure that we will see you again very soon! 🥰🚢💙 See you next ☀️ summer!!

Not so good

Too many people on boat made it seem crammed, cigarette smoke wafting around, engine fumes and a PA system cranked up so loud the captains announcements were distorted. Did we really need music blasting out for the whole journey? It was so loud my watch was telling me the level was above 90dB!! We had done this trip during 2025 and to be honest it was much better with previous owner. A true honest account I’m afraid so we would say: 1/ reduce number on board 2/ add a non smoking policy, not uncommon in this day and age 3/ Monitor audio levels especially during announcements. (We were on lower deck).

Ulysses Path Round of Ithaca: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cephalonia.

How much does Ulysses Path Round of Ithaca cost?

+

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cephalonia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ulysses Path Round of Ithaca take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cephalonia is not rushed.

Is Ulysses Path Round of Ithaca worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cephalonia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ulysses Path Round of Ithaca?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ulysses Path Round of Ithaca suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ulysses Path Round of Ithaca?

+

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cephalonia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cephalonia and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ulysses Path Round of Ithaca start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cephalonia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cephalonia?

+

On Outty we rank every Cephalonia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include "Dreamy cruise"Daily Cruise from Argostoli harbour with a traditional Greek boat, "QueenBee" Full-Day Boat Trip with Lunch, Kefalonia Wine Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cephalonia?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cephalonia?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
