      Pass by without stopping

    2. Mancos Valley Overlook

From here, you can see some of the distinct ecosystems in these mountains. There’s the shrub-steppe community at lower elevations dominated by plants like sagebrush and rabbitbrush. A little higher up is the pinyon-juniper woodland, also known as the “pygmy forest.” Here, pinyon and juniper trees are king.

      300 minutes here

    3. Beaver Meadows Visitor Center

Welcome to Rocky Mountain National Park! This tour will take you through the most picturesque stretch of this majestic mountain range. Get ready for stunning vistas, lush meadows, and prime wildlife-spotting!

      300 minutes here

    4. Kissing Camels Golf Course

The first thing to know is that the two camels aren’t actually two different rocks. At one time, they looked no different than the rest of this rock face. But there was a small crack within one layer of the sandstone. A crack so small it was practically invisible.

    Amazing informative self guide!

Our self-guided tour at Mesa Verde was an unforgettable experience. Being able to explore at our own pace allowed us to fully appreciate the incredible cliff dwellings, breathtaking views, and rich history of the Ancestral Pueblo people. The park is well-marked, making it easy to navigate while still feeling like an adventure. Every overlook offered stunning scenery, and seeing the ancient structures built into the cliffs was truly awe-inspiring. We loved having the flexibility to stop, take photos, and soak in the beauty of the landscape. Mesa Verde is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys history, nature, and unique cultural experiences.

Response from the operator: Jamie, I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed my Ultimate Colorado Bundle and had such an unforgettable experience at Mesa Verde. It’s wonderful to know the tour gave you the flexibility to explore at your own pace while taking in the cliff dwellings, scenic overlooks, and rich history of the Ancestral Pueblo people. I’m happy the experience helped make the park’s history, culture, and landscape even more meaningful. Beautiful views and great hikes

A truely spectacular park. We entered at the Fall River entrance. Since the government was shut down we did not need a timed entry pass. The entrance has a great gift shop and restaurant. The views were spectacular and there are some great hikes down by Bear Lake.

Response from the operator: I’m glad you enjoyed my Ultimate Colorado Self-Guided Driving & Walking Audio Tours. Entering through Fall River and taking in those Bear Lake views sounds perfect. It’s great that you appreciated the flexibility to explore the park’s beautiful scenery and trails at your own pace. Worth the money

It was a good trip, enjoyed it. We will probably try another one in Colorado on our next trip. Not enough words written so I’m writing anything.

Response from the operator: Julie, I'm so glad you enjoyed the trip and found it worth the money. Thanks for giving my Colorado tour a try. I’d love you to check out more of my Colorado tours on your next visit. If you plan to travel more, you may like my Action+ Tour Bundle (it has all of my self-guided tours, over 100). Thanks again!

Take this tour during non-business hours.

It was definitely a bit confusing setting up the tour on my phone but I eventually figured it out. The audio guide provided minimal information and we were stuck in traffic for over an hour so we ended up ditching the route.

Response from the operator: I’m so sorry you ran into traffic, which prevented you from enjoying my tour! I hope you get the chance to return outside of rush hour. You will probably find that there is a bit TOO much info in that case as you zoom along! If a specific part of the setup was puzzling, please let me know so I can clarify for future users. Thanks!

Ultimate Colorado Bundle: Self-Guided Driving & Walking Tours: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Telluride.

How much does Ultimate Colorado Bundle: Self-Guided Driving & Walking Tours cost?

    +

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Telluride usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ultimate Colorado Bundle: Self-Guided Driving & Walking Tours take?

    +

Plan for about 20 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Telluride is not rushed.

Is Ultimate Colorado Bundle: Self-Guided Driving & Walking Tours worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Telluride, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ultimate Colorado Bundle: Self-Guided Driving & Walking Tours?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ultimate Colorado Bundle: Self-Guided Driving & Walking Tours suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 20-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ultimate Colorado Bundle: Self-Guided Driving & Walking Tours?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Telluride can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Telluride and add a light layer if any part of the 20-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ultimate Colorado Bundle: Self-Guided Driving & Walking Tours start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Telluride within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Telluride?

    +

Telluride, CO packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Telluride by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Telluride experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Telluride Via Ferrata - Private Trip, Telluride 1 Day Rafting Trip with Lunch - San Miguel River, Telluride Morning Half Day Rafting Trip - San Miguel River. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Telluride?

    +

Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Telluride, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Telluride?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
