About this experience
Every year we get more and more inquiries for Biblical tours in Turkey as a lot of people have recently discovered the important role these lands played in the history of Christianity. Therefore, for Bible land tours we carefully choose guides who have good knowledge of Bible and Christian history. During our Bible tours, our guests can visit many magnificent churches, some nearly as old as Christianity itself, and can retrace the footsteps of Apostle Jhon and Paul from the Biblical city of Ephesus to the underground churches of Cappadocia. Our Biblical tour guides are locals who have very good knowledge not only about the sights in the area, but also about the history of Christianity. They are all fluent in English, and some of them guide also in other languages. If you want to visit more biblical sites in Turkey; you can contact us and we can allways customize this itinerary.

In the footsteps of Paul in Ephesus
My wife and I had a wonderful tour led by Umut! We were picked up promptly at 8:30am, and our tour ended around 3:30 after seeing the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, the house of the Virgin Mary, ancient Ephesus, and the Church of St. John. Umut continually referred to the Scriptures, especially Acts 19 as we were in Ephesus, and Revelation 2 where he provided detailed local context about the seven churches of Asia Minor. Wonderful seeing a location which was so profoundly impacted by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Very quick and convenient travel with the van and our driver. Extremely glad we chose to to this tour rather than try to do it ourselves. Thanks Umut and Ertunga!

Loved our private biblical tour of Ephesus!
My husband and I booked a private biblical tour of Ephesus and it was amazing! Our guide, Umut, and driver, Ismail, picked us up at our hotel at 8:30 am. We saw the site of the temple of Artemis, the house and chapel of Mary, the site of the church of Saint John, and walked through the remains of the city of Ephesus. Umut gave cultural insight into the books of Revelation and Acts. He was knowledgable and able to answer our questions about Turkey, both today and during biblical times. We also stopped for lunch, which was delicious!

Felicity Tour with Ertunga and his Team the best
Felicity Tours made our journey through the biblical, archaeological, literary, and historical treasures of the region deeply enriching and unforgettable. Every detail—from planning to execution—was handled with outstanding care and professionalism. Maria, Mehmet, and our wonderful driver went above and beyond to ensure everything ran perfectly. The service we received in both Athens and Thessaloniki was exceptional, and everyone we met along the way was kind, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. Felicity will remain my go-to travel agency for any future tours in Asia Minor. I cannot thank the team enough for this memorable experience. With heartfelt appreciation, Dr. Daniel Auguste and the Team

Wonderful experience in Turkey
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Türkiye! Ertunga and Maria were extremely professional and kind. They took care of all of the details of our travel, including domestic flights, ground transportation, itinerary, lodging, and lunches. We learned so much from our guides, and they were very knowledgeable and attentive. If you want to explore the rich Biblical history of Türkiye, especially the seven churches, we would highly recommend Ertunga and his team.

We LOVE Turkey!
Our trip in Turkey, organized by Felicity Travel and Ertunga & Maria was FANTASTIC. We stayed 9 days and visited many different cities and places from fancy palaces to cave houses. We learned so much about Turkey, its place in history as the center of everything, and we can't wait to come back and see more. We had 3 guides during our trip, one for Istanbul, one for Cappadocia and Ertunga for our remaining days when we visited the 7 churches of Revelation. Our guides were knowledgeable, flexible and had our best interests in mind. They made the history come alive and answered all our questions. You could tell they were passionate about their country and their job. The drivers were outstanding and every day was a wonderful adventure. We stayed in clean, modern and lovely hotels and every meal we had was delicious. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had the best vacation.

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Turkey Biblical Tour (Private): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.
How much does Turkey Biblical Tour (Private) cost?
+
Prices start at $400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Turkey Biblical Tour (Private) take?
+
Plan for about 240 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.
Is Turkey Biblical Tour (Private) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Turkey Biblical Tour (Private)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Turkey Biblical Tour (Private) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 240-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Turkey Biblical Tour (Private)?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 240-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Turkey Biblical Tour (Private) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Istanbul?
+
On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Istanbul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Istanbul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
