The houses of the Pyrenees in Saint-Pé-de-Bigorre: a reality very far from the photos
A catastrophic experience in the "Les Cimes" apartment. The photos in the listing present a significantly enhanced accommodation, but once there, the contrast is striking. They absolutely do not allow one to realize the actual condition and level of maintenance of the accommodation. Upon our arrival: dirty and very poorly maintained apartment, hair and fur in the accommodation, grimy baseboards and walls, very dirty windows including some with broken panes, neglected terrace and furniture. The accommodation is also very noisy and the view directly overlooks a derelict building. After our report, the concierge service intervened for about an hour for a very superficial cleaning, without any real restoration. As for the manager, Jérémie, his reaction is particularly disappointing: he explained to us that the accommodation was compliant since it did indeed have the number of rooms indicated in the listing. It was obviously not the number of rooms that we were disputing, but the condition of the accommodation and the accommodation conditions. We left the premises after only 48 hours. Airbnb acknowledged the problem, refunded us for the nights not spent, and compensated us for one night spent on-site. Summary: €400 for transportation + €160 for one night… and a ruined vacation. We tried to post our review on Airbnb, but it is impossible for us to do so. We are therefore sharing our experience here so that everyone can book with full knowledge of the facts.

Great day
This was a long day and it didn’t dissapoint. Omar was our tour guide and he was very fun. The ruins were, well, ruins, lol. The iguanas climbing or resting on them everywhere made it even more scenic. But, the cenotes were the highlight for sure. The caves were awesome! Geraldo was our guide through the Casa Tortuga cenotes…. The stop at the sculpture took too long, but,Omar did take a great video of us, sooo… I could’ve been fine without the stop in Playa del Carmen as the locals hound you to buy.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review, Michelle. We're glad you had a great day and especially enjoyed the cenotes at Casa Tortuga. Omar and Geraldo will be happy to hear they helped make the experience fun — we’ll share your comments with the excursion provider. We appreciate your thoughts on the tour stops, and we’re happy you got a great video to remember the day.

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tulum Ruins visit cenotes house turtle and Sculpture Come to Light: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Tulum Ruins visit cenotes house turtle and Sculpture Come to Light cost?
+
Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tulum Ruins visit cenotes house turtle and Sculpture Come to Light take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Tulum Ruins visit cenotes house turtle and Sculpture Come to Light worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tulum Ruins visit cenotes house turtle and Sculpture Come to Light?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tulum Ruins visit cenotes house turtle and Sculpture Come to Light suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tulum Ruins visit cenotes house turtle and Sculpture Come to Light?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tulum Ruins visit cenotes house turtle and Sculpture Come to Light start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
