Then we will cross the lagoon in canoes, visiting the Cenote Calavera (Cenote The Skulls). Underground Rapel descending 15 meters to the water level, and ascending back.

Unfortunately little jungle and much more action
We had expected much more... our driver was extraordinary and truly outstanding and attentive; he told us a lot about the country and its people and the fauna, and even made an intermediate stop in Copa. Unfortunately, the jungle hike was just a short detour to the tree with monkeys located next to the entrance to the lagoon and cenote. Our local guide then took us via paths - us in sturdy footwear, him in flip-flops - to the zipline, and then quickly into the canoes from there, and then quickly on to rappelling into the cenote. The Maya ceremony was nice, but the clear little bowl for tip requests makes this experience rather commercial as well. We were impressed by the monkeys but had hoped for much, much more information about culture and fauna; it's a shame, it is such a wonderful place in the jungle.

Wir kamen genau zum richtigen Zeitpunkt an. Im Punta-Laguna-Reservat leben die Tiere frei, und manchmal wissen wir nicht, wo sie sich aufhalten. Manchmal laufen wir lange und finden sie trotzdem nicht. Wir hatten wirklich Glück, sie zu entdecken. Sie bewegen sich im gesamten Dschungel. Das Punta-Laguna-Reservat wird von Maya-Familien bewacht. Die Kalebasse auf dem Tisch ist ein Dankeschön und Trinkgeld für den Maya-Priester, der diese Gabe den ganzen Tag über segnet. Sie wird einfach dort stehen gelassen; sie dient nicht kommerziellen Zwecken. Wir verstehen Ihre Worte und freuen uns über Ihren Besuch. Sie sind herzlich willkommen.

A great 1/2 day experience!
David was our driver and host for the trip there and back. Really friendly and super knowledgeable about the area. Made the drive fun! Louis was our guide at the sanctuary. Super friendly and knew where to find both howler and spider monkeys. The cenote swim at the end was incredible! 10/10 stars!

Unexpectedly wonderful
This was an unepectedly wonderful experience: our first monkeys, a beautiful lagoon and a thrilling cenote! The Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Amazing Tour
What an amazing excursion, our guides were amazing we learned so much about the Mayan history and culture. Hiking through the jungle and seeing the Spider and Howling monkey’s in their natural habitat. This is a must do if you are in Tulum

This is a beautiful,...
This is a beautiful, authentic experience with wonderful Mayan guides. The reserve is spectacular. A word of caution, though the cenote is amazing it is a cave cenote that requires repelling down more than 12m then climbing back up a rickety rope ladder with wooden rungs. Make sure you are in good enough shape to climb yourself out, especially if you are heavy since the guide might not be able to help much with hoisting you out!
