About this experience
This private tour will show you a variety of what makes the Tulum area special. First we will tour the majestic Tulum Ruins located on the beautiful Tulum beach, then we will then visit 1 of the many beautiful cenotes the area has to offer. Cenotes are sinkholes with beautiful underground pools fed by the intricate and vast underground river system that flows throughout much of the Yucatán Peninsula. The water is crystal clear because it has been filtered by the peninsula's limestone. While touring with us you will feel like you are hanging out with a friend all day instead of being led around by a regular tour guide. This tour also includes a delicious lunch at a local restaurant! *This tour does not include cenotes Dos Ojos or Sac Actun. Contact us for details.

Amazing Adventure
We recently went on this amazing tour with Eli. First, I can’t say enough about how friendly Eli is & we were so comfortable with him. His knowledge of Mayan history is amazing. He brings the Mayan world alive throughout the tour. The ruins are so fascinating when you tour with a guide who truly loves the history of his country & presents it to you in a way you can almost visualize. When we left the ruins we went to a cenote that was beautiful! The water is crystal clear & the history of the cenotes is fascinating. Eli took us to a local restaurant where the food was fantastic. We always tour with Yucatán Eli’s and have never been disappointed. Eli is truly a great guy & guide.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We will see you next time for a new adventure!

Experience of a life time
My tour guide was Nelson, he is very knowledgeable and passionate about his job and the history of the Mayan Ruins and Cenotes. I can’t swim however Nelson created a method using life jackets to help me float through the Cenotes, I felt safe and secure. I would definitely recommend doing this tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We hope to see you again!

Still in love in and with Tulum!
Wow! What a PHENOMENAL day! We have traveled many places in the world over the past 40 years and this was easily one of the BEST tours we have ever done! Eli was WONDERFUL! He did a masterful job of showing us the Tulum ruins. The Sac Actun Cenote visit was an adventure of a lifetime! You must do while in Tulum! Eli led us through many fascinating sites on this underground river! My wife and I were in Tulum 38 years ago and thanks to Eli, our trip back was unforgettable!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to review us! I am very happy you enjoyed the Tulum Ruins and Sac Actún Cenote, we had a great day. I hope to see you again on your next visit to Tulum. Thank you so much!

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tulum Adventure (Private, Full Day): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.
How much does Tulum Adventure (Private, Full Day) cost?
+
Prices start at $224 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tulum Adventure (Private, Full Day) take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.
Is Tulum Adventure (Private, Full Day) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tulum Adventure (Private, Full Day)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tulum Adventure (Private, Full Day) suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Tulum Adventure (Private, Full Day)?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tulum Adventure (Private, Full Day) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tulum?
+
On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tulum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tulum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
