    Awesome diving experience

Salty Endeavors provided an amazing first time diving experience, dont look further they are by far the best operators (I did 2 other dives with different operators that I wont even bother to write a review). Since our booking until the end of the dive they were very helpful, our instructor Joss and the boat crew were very knowledgeable and friendly always showing us interesting marine life around.

    After further consideration

I previously reviewed Hotel 101, with a negative aspect. While that room review stands, the staff manager Jason offered us a room change with a smart tv in it. We took it, gladly, but the wifi dropped out alot, the weather was terrible this trip, snd may have caused the outages. Greatly appreciated Jason’s above and beyond support! Thanks Hotel 101 staff! You are the best in opinion!

    Could have been better

We booked a two-tank dive with Salty Endeavors in Cozumel and came away disappointed. The training was weird. Francesco spoke very fast with a strong accent and said upfront that raising hands for questions is not acceptable to him during his training. All four of us struggled to understand him. The first dive was solid, but the second was just average - and we would have much preferred staying on the same reef rather than moving. More concerning were the safety and experience issues. During one dive, Francesco knocked my beginner son’s mask off with his fin at around 35 feet. Our son managed to recover on his own (thxs to training from the guide and Dad), but it was a stressful and avoidable situation - especially for a newer diver and experienced guide. We also brought a GoPro to capture the experience, but were told we couldn’t use it ourselves. We were told they would handle it and supplement with their phones, yet we ended up with zero photos or videos from either dive. That’s probably the most disappointing part - no memories to take with us other than what we can recall ourselves. Overall, not a terrible dive, but far from the experience we expected. The combination of safety concerns and lack of follow-through left us very disappointed.

Always incredible, safe and FUN diving experience with Salty Endeavors!!!

I absolutely LOVE Salty Endeavors!! This company is such a joy to work with. From the moment you start planning your dives, they are so responsive, helpful, and accommodating. They truly go out of their way to make everything as easy and seamless as possible for you. They handle all the details, answer every questions and make sure you feel totally prepared and confident before you even get in the water. You can really feel how much they care about creating the best possible experience for you! Everyone I’ve met on the team has been amazing, but my friend Francisco (Poncho) always goes above and beyond to make my scuba adventures SO fun, safe, and memorable! I’ve dived with him a few times now, and most recently I brought my mom to Cozumel so she could get certified. She had always been so afraid of the ocean, but Guillermo and Francisco made her feel so safe and comfortable underwater that she completely fell in love with it. After her first dive she was so overwhelmed with gratitude and awe that she actually cried. It was such a beautiful moment and it’s 100% because of the care and patience they bring to what they do. I usually do private dives with Poncho because his knowledge of the ocean is incredible. He has an amazing eye and always points out everything from giant sea turtles to the tiniest little sea slugs hiding in the reef. Not only is he an ocean guru, but also a very entertaining storyteller and just such a good human!! Diving with him is always an adventure and I love exploring the ocean with him!! If you’re diving in Cozumel, I cannot recommend Salty Endeavors enough. They make the entire experience feel easy, safe, and so much fun from start to finish! Can’t wait to get back in the water with them!

    First drift dive experience

Tried drift diving for the first time. Eduardo was our dive master and was so helpful and accommodating. I was pretty nervous about the drift diving but he stayed right by my side throughout the dives (two tank) and pointed out all the incredible things to see there including a shipwreck, a couple of eagle rays, turtle, crabs, tons of fish and more. Highly recommend them!

Try Scuba Diving - No previous experience!: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.

How much does Try Scuba Diving - No previous experience! cost?

    +

Prices start at $229 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Try Scuba Diving - No previous experience! take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.

Is Try Scuba Diving - No previous experience! worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Try Scuba Diving - No previous experience!?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Try Scuba Diving - No previous experience! suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Try Scuba Diving - No previous experience!?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Try Scuba Diving - No previous experience! start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cozumel?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cozumel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cozumel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
