About this experience
Choose Your Experience We offer two different winter fjord experiences, depending on what kind of adventure you are looking for: All-Inclusive Fjord & Fishing Experience Smaller boat with fewer guests for a more personal atmosphere Fishing included throughout the tour Fresh fish soup, bread, hot drinks, snacks, cookies, and thermal suits included Wildlife-focused route with more stops and time to explore Higher price due to the smaller group size and included services Classic Fjord Cruise Slightly larger boat with a lower ticket price Scenic fjord sightseeing without fishing Coffee, hot chocolate, fish soup with bread, cookies, and snacks available for purchase onboard Comfortable indoor seating and beautiful Arctic views The fjords are raw, quiet, and real. Great experience in the summer tour
Amazing experience ! The team was super kind and could answer all our questions. We got to catch some pretty big fish which were cut on the spot and cooked in the soup. We also saw some wild Eagles from extremly close I would highly recommend this experience

Very good experience and...
Very good experience even thought we can’t get any fish. Christina is very patient and knowledgeable to explain all the animal features. Well equipped boat with 2 decent toilets, thermal jackets and hot drinks. Fish soup tastes good.

10/10 AMAZING must do!
10/10! A wonderful, friendly relaxed experience. Felt totally at home on the boat. The team are just so lovely and knowledgeable. It’s an incredible experience on the water and the fish soup is incredible. A total must for your Tromsø visit

it was more cruise...
it was more cruise experience, not fishing. Staff was pleasant, but for fishing they don't had sonar. From 25 passengers we only caught 2 fish
Response from the operator: Dear guest, the boat has all the necessary equipment for fishing as we fish here in Norway. Many of our guests are not fishermen or have never fished before, so the chance of catching fish decreases. When we have guests on board who understand how to fish or listen carefully to us when we give instructions, the chances of catching fish increase. There is no 100 percent guarantee of catching fish, just ask a fisherman :) Welcome back and better fishing luck next time :) Kind regards Polar Team

Tromsø: Arctic Fjord Cruise & Fishing Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tromso.
How much does Tromsø: Arctic Fjord Cruise & Fishing Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $144 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tromso usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tromsø: Arctic Fjord Cruise & Fishing Experience take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tromso is not rushed.
Is Tromsø: Arctic Fjord Cruise & Fishing Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 482 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tromso, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tromsø: Arctic Fjord Cruise & Fishing Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tromsø: Arctic Fjord Cruise & Fishing Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tromsø: Arctic Fjord Cruise & Fishing Experience?
+
Around 169 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tromso can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tromso and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tromsø: Arctic Fjord Cruise & Fishing Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tromso within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tromso?
+
On Outty we rank every Tromso experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Minibus Chase from Tromsø with Chasing Lights, Northern Lights Big Bus Chase with Chasing Lights, Tromsø Northern Lights Chase We Go Where The Lights Appear. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tromso?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tromso?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
