Triple Adventure: Zip Lining, Waterfalls & Buggies

We did the triple adventure and we all had such a blast! a full days worth of memories! We had people come and pick us up, bring us to the zip lining and waterfall park, and the people there were so nice as well! We then had some AMAZING lunch there and then our drivers brought us to the buggies which we also had a great time! I definitely recommend showing up in clothing you plan on getting soaked in and that you don’t mind getting pretty muddy! Overall, such a great experience!

Dune buggy experience was a let down

The private transfer is great! Our driver was waiting for us when we got off our ship. The walk from the ship was a little longer than I expected though, so prepare for that. I thought the map they provided was just disproportioned, but it wasn't. The zip line and waterfall experience was amazing! As other reviews note, the hike to the zip line was a solid 30 minutes and mostly uphill, but worth it. Lunch afterwards was smooth. It was the dune buggy experience that brings my review to 4 stars. Our buggy broke down mid ride (and you could tell by the look on the guide's face that he knew this might happen). We were left waiting for about 20 minutes for someone to come bring another vehicle while the camera man pressured us to buy his photos and videos for $65. This caused our time at the beach to be really rushed. What was nice that we didn't know was included was a stop to a small community shop where we tried Mamajuana (not sure if that's how it's spelled). That's the Dominican alcohol. There's a rum version and a wine version. But then they were pressuring us to buy something even though we told them we didn't bring money because we weren't expecting this stop. It definitely should have been communicated by the driver or in the tour description. I also wish they provided goggles or glasses for the dune buggy ride, or told us to bring ours. They told us to take them off for ziplining but never suggested putting them back on for buggies. Lots of dirt and dirty water got in our eyes. There are dune buggies at the same zipline and waterfall location. I wonder why this tour doesn't just use that? I would have preferred that, with a separate stop for the Mamajuana tasting and souvenir shopping.

Triple Adventure Zipline Waterfalls & Buggy: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Plata.

How much does Triple Adventure Zipline Waterfalls & Buggy cost?

    +

Prices start at $180 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Plata usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Triple Adventure Zipline Waterfalls & Buggy take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Plata is not rushed.

Is Triple Adventure Zipline Waterfalls & Buggy worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Plata, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Triple Adventure Zipline Waterfalls & Buggy?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Triple Adventure Zipline Waterfalls & Buggy suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Triple Adventure Zipline Waterfalls & Buggy?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Plata can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Plata and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Triple Adventure Zipline Waterfalls & Buggy start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Plata within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Plata?

    +

On Outty we rank every Puerto Plata experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Monkeyland and Zipline Adventure from Puerto Plata, Monkeyland Puerto Plata, Puerto Plata Highlights City Tours from amber cove and Taino bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Plata?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Plata?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
