    About this experience

My professional life has always been linked to commercial positions, but about 6 years ago, I radically changed my life and started to pursue my true passion: exploring the lesser known part of my country, especially the countryside. As I have done several expeditions to North Africa, you are in professional hands :) Knowing new cultures, embracing off road adventure and sharing my passion for my country is my "mission" We will drive along the north coast of Portugal in a 4x4 jeep, revealing some of the most incredible natural gems hidden in Portugal that, fortunately, not everyone is aware of. We will visit Vila Nova de Cerveira (medieval village), and its wonderful beaches, the "pinchos" waterfalls and much more. Weather permitting, you can cool off in the clear waters of the waterfalls. On the way back to Porto, we will visit one of the most typical Fisherman's Villages (Angeiras). Come and discover the surprises that await you!

    Like a beautiful dream.

There are some places that feel unreal and this was a dream! Our tour guide Rui Pedro was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting facts. We felt so safe and relaxed. Thank you for your time, Rui. Thank you for introducing us to some fantastic regional foods and drinks. Highly highly recommend this trip. So worth the money.

Best way to see Portugal and meet the people

This experience was by far the highlight of our trip to Portugal. We though we were going to get on of those uncomfortable jeep rides that we saw in the city, but we got a comfortable and wonderful personal tour of northern Portugal. Our guide, Rui, gave us lots of history and answered all of our questions. Each of the locations we visited were stunning. The waterfall part of the trip was amazing because he was able to get places other can’t with his 4x4 vehicular. We felt like we had a waterfall all out ourselves. The food and wine were amazing, the views were spectacular, and the trip was an 11/10!

    Pure magic!

Rui was a great destination specialist! We loved our visit to the fisherman village, with all the local knowledge and then the waterfalls we had all to ourselves. It was pure magic, like something out of a movie. The little stop for wine and then local taverna was perfect. We had a great time, thank you so much and thank you for the photos

    Rui Rocks! 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Honestly one of the best tours we have ever done. We have traveled throughout Europe, Central America, the Caribbean and the United States and this tour is in my top three. Why?… it’s not only about the destination. How you get there and with who builds up the adventure. Rui stopped us at so many places we would have never known about or discovered on our own (or with a generic tour). He has attention to detail and I felt like we experienced towns, foods, and drinks we would not have experienced but for him. The waterfalls topped it off! My 9-year-old said it was her best day. She jumped in the springs and the pictures were magical. I would recommend Rui to any family or friend visiting the Porto area and I’m going to contact him again when I come back with my parents because (again) this was one of my favorite tours. We even went back to one of the spots he showed us for lunch and it was amazing. And he sent me suggestions for our trip down towards Algarve. Thank you Rui!!!!

    Great guide, awesome scenery.

Rui is a great tour guide and is very professional. He showed us an amazing time on the tour. The weather was not the best, but Rui adapted the tour to the weather so that it was still very good. My wife and I enjoyed the tour very much and would highly recommend this tour to other people thinking of going on it.

Tour to the Waterfalls in 4x4 full day: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.

How much does Tour to the Waterfalls in 4x4 full day cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tour to the Waterfalls in 4x4 full day take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.

Is Tour to the Waterfalls in 4x4 full day worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tour to the Waterfalls in 4x4 full day?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tour to the Waterfalls in 4x4 full day suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tour to the Waterfalls in 4x4 full day?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tour to the Waterfalls in 4x4 full day start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Porto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Porto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Porto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
