What you'll see and do
Montana Redonda
Anyone who arrives can enjoy nature, breathe fresh air and, of course, therefore take a lot of photos! Dominican republic round mountain what to do... At the beginning, the tour begins aboard an all-terrain transport that takes us along a winding road towards the top of the mountain, from where the adventure begins and the postcard views begin to appear. Already at the top, on top of a swing that overlooks the void, in a comfortable hammock or else, mounted on a broom that, thanks to photography, makes us "fly". We enjoy a 360 degree view of this place.

Thus it is still a spectacle to enter a journey. I Don’t Know Where to Begin
First let me start by saying that our driver (would not call him a tour guide) moved our departure time up one hour (we received this notification at midnight) from what was advertised, but then showed up at the original time! We had two more stops at hotels and the other travelers told us they’d had the same experience, with the last one being picked up after 10 am. He also had a female “friend” in the car who was already drinking a beer. The van was dirty and mildewed with non-functioning seat belts and lots of broken vinyl inside, low functioning air conditioning, and damage outside. When we got to our first attraction , we were already 4 hours (5 hours of you count the one that we waited around) into what was advertised as a 4-hour tour. The driver was very nice with taking photos and pleasant in general, so was his lady friend. The Montana Redonda was beautiful and the food was very good. When we left there, we were more than 5 hours in and we knew that we still had at least 2.5 hours just for the drop offs. As a result, we all decided to skip the 2nd stop. Our driver then told us we had a detour to pick up a family (not on our tour) from a different hotel and take them elsewhere. He said it would be a 5-min detour, so we all agreed. It ended up being about 15 mins and we never saw the family, until another car asked us to pull over on the highway, so they could transfer the passengers to our van. Needless to say, we arrived at our hotel at 4:15 pm after leaving it 8:30 am for what should have been a 4-hr tour.
Response from the operator: We are very sorry for what has happened, but you must understand that instead of your collection it was the most remote area and to be in a shared group this must be left and of course this takes time. We are also glad that despite the inconveniences you had a lot of fun.

Don’t look any further
Wow, that’s all I can say. I am 7 months pregnant on a family vacation, and we bought this private tour, and it completely exceeded my expectations. Our tour guides name is Alex from the connection tour; he is terrific; he listens to all our needs and wants and completely accommodates it and made fantastic recommendations. This excursion topped off our vacation by far.

Tour to Montana Redonda and Emerald Coast Beach: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Romana.
How much does Tour to Montana Redonda and Emerald Coast Beach cost?
+
Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Romana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tour to Montana Redonda and Emerald Coast Beach take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Romana is not rushed.
Is Tour to Montana Redonda and Emerald Coast Beach worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Romana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tour to Montana Redonda and Emerald Coast Beach?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tour to Montana Redonda and Emerald Coast Beach suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Tour to Montana Redonda and Emerald Coast Beach?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Romana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Romana and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tour to Montana Redonda and Emerald Coast Beach start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Romana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in La Romana?
+
On Outty we rank every La Romana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group: Saona Island Full Day Tour, Saona Island small group and relax - luxury catamaran, #1 Punta Cana Hip Hop Adults Only Party Boat with Open Bar & DJ. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit La Romana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in La Romana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
