Refused to give in to extortion when operator tried to double the price !!!
The operator attempted to more than double the price on the day of the transfer, just as I was getting to the departure airport. I refused to pay and had Viator cancel the booking with a full refund. I will not use them again. I have since learned that the price they wanted was far too high and that I was correct to cancel. Not impressed in the least !
Response from the operator: Dear Bob Van de Vrande, We sincerely appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to address your concerns regarding your recent experience with our transportation service. We deeply regret any confusion or inconvenience that may have arisen during your booking. As you mentioned, upon reviewing your reservation, we noticed that you initially provided the information "Delivery Point: Romana Airbnb (relatively near cruise port) - Exact address TBD." While we understand that you planned to provide the exact address later, unfortunately, this posed challenges in ensuring accurate and timely delivery. Our team is always committed to customer satisfaction and works diligently to accommodate the individual needs of each reservation. However, the lack of detailed information can complicate planning and logistics, which may result in last-minute adjustments to ensure optimal service. Regarding the discrepancy in price, we want to assure you that our prices are based on a fair and transparent assessment of various factors, including distance and specific service requirements. We understand your concern and regret any misunderstandings that may have arisen in this regard. We greatly value your feedback as it allows us to identify areas for improvement and strengthen our dedication to excellence in customer service. We are always here to assist you and would love the opportunity to discuss this situation further if you wish. Please feel free to reach out to our customer service team for any further questions or to update your reservation with the accurate delivery information. We are here to assist you in any way we can.

Easy and professional to deal with.
Booked for a family vacation. Last minute flight change had us there a few hours early with no way of letting the transfer service know ahead of time. I’ve used other services that will monitor and adjust accordingly, this did not. However, one quick message and Ed had a driver there in about the time it took me to finish a beverage. Booked for the return trip and was great in making sure we made it to the airport in time. Both vehicles were newer with cold AC, both drivers were professional and bilingual. Ed even called on the last transfer to make sure I was satisfied with the service.
Response from the operator: Mr. Stiever, thank you for your good comment, we always monitor the flights. The issue is that sometimes we have flights that the tracker does not give us the true information.

Edwin was awesome. He’s experienced and was very helpful. We felt safe being with him in a place where we did not know anyone. We will reuse his services when we are back. ☺️
Response from the operator: thank you so much :)

Transfer from Punta Cana Airport to La Romana: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Romana.
How much does Transfer from Punta Cana Airport to La Romana cost?
+
Prices start at $135 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Romana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Transfer from Punta Cana Airport to La Romana take?
+
Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Romana is not rushed.
Is Transfer from Punta Cana Airport to La Romana worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Romana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Transfer from Punta Cana Airport to La Romana?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Transfer from Punta Cana Airport to La Romana suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Transfer from Punta Cana Airport to La Romana?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Romana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Romana and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Transfer from Punta Cana Airport to La Romana start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Romana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in La Romana?
+
On Outty we rank every La Romana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group: Saona Island Full Day Tour, Hip hop boat party punta cana live Dj & OPEN BAR soca dancehall, Saona Island small group and relax - luxury catamaran. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit La Romana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in La Romana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
