Once in a Lifetime!
Feeding the Giraffes at the Giraffe Center was so much fun and certainly a once in a lifetime experience. The facility is very clean. You are given pellets to feed the giraffes and there are places to wash your hands at the end of the feeding area. The elephant orphanage was another once in a lifetime experience. They frolic around and hold their own bottles of milk to feed themselves. Our final stop was the Karen Blixon house That too was very enlightening Our guide, Grace was just wonderful. She was very helpful and knowledgable. We really enjoyed our day with her. En route we stopped at a workshop where women were making beads and using them and imported glass beads to make jewelry and other items. This was very interesting and the only time during our week in Kenya that we actually saw how the beeds and jewelry were made. Thank you Grace, we had a great day.

***** You won’t be Disappointed
This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. It was so relaxed. We had as much time as we wanted in each place. Grace, our tour guide reached out several days before our tour to confirm and to make sure we were aware of the additional NP fees. She and our driver James picked us up at our hotel with all of our luggage and were happy to drop us off at our next hotel. This really made our day so much easier. I will always remember Gracie and James as fondly as I remember all the animals and places we visited. Don’t hesitate to take any tour that Zuru Africa offers you will not be disappointed.
Response from the operator: Thanks for the 5-star review Annie and Eric Hearing that you loved the safari views makes our whole team smile. You also made a great team and made the trip interesting. We cannot wait to host you again.

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tour Giraffe Centre, David Shedrick & kibera slums city tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does Tour Giraffe Centre, David Shedrick & kibera slums city tour cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tour Giraffe Centre, David Shedrick & kibera slums city tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is Tour Giraffe Centre, David Shedrick & kibera slums city tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tour Giraffe Centre, David Shedrick & kibera slums city tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tour Giraffe Centre, David Shedrick & kibera slums city tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tour Giraffe Centre, David Shedrick & kibera slums city tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tour Giraffe Centre, David Shedrick & kibera slums city tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wild 5-Day Safari: Magical Mara, Nakuru Wonders & Hell's Gate, 2 Days Amboseli Safari using a 4x4 Landcruiser jeep(with options), Kibera Slum Tour with Lucas. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
