    Amazing Tour with Marissa

Amazing tour with Marissa. Very knowledgeable and passionate about Skagway! The tour bus had AC and beverages for purchase. The tour guide even offered to drop us off at our preferred location at the end of the day. Marissa stopped at many beautiful locations on our way back from the suspension bridge and was a fantastic picture taker!!

    Best tour in Skagway Alaska

This is such an amazing tour! Marissa, our guide was beyond friendly, inspiring and informative. We were going to take the train tour but this one turned out to be so much better. She stopped several times for everyone to get some amazing photos and explained the history of Skagway and the Yukon

    Excellent tour and guide.

Marissa was excellent. She was knowledgeable about the area and answered all our questions. She found beautiful places to stop for photos but did it in a way to make the most out of the time we had available. She is an independent business owner and I'm glad we were able to support her. Highly recommend signing up for a tour with her. It was my favorite excursion out of whole cruise.

Thank you for ruining our day in Skagway.

DO NOT USE THIS TOUR SERVICE Our tour guide never showed up to pick us up at the engine 52 site. We waited for over a half hour. I called the number on our voucher and got a voicemail. I called back 15 minutes later and still got a voicemail. Finally, I called Alaskaexcursions 800 number and they would contact the owner to find out what happened with our reservation. The tour company decided not to pick us up, which ruined our entire day in Skagway. If we had known earlier that the tour was canceled, we would’ve picked another excursion instead of wasting our day there . They offered us a refund, but that does not replace the experience we were expected to have. Do not use the service. Thank you for ruining our day in Skagway .

    Had the best time!!

Excellent tour. Best excursion experience during my cruise. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and glaciers. Suspension bridge was a sight to behold. If you can only do one excursion, this is it!

Tormented Valley and Suspension Bridge Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Skagway.

How much does Tormented Valley and Suspension Bridge Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $112 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Skagway usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tormented Valley and Suspension Bridge Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Skagway is not rushed.

Is Tormented Valley and Suspension Bridge Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Skagway, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tormented Valley and Suspension Bridge Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tormented Valley and Suspension Bridge Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tormented Valley and Suspension Bridge Tour?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Skagway can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Skagway and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tormented Valley and Suspension Bridge Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Skagway within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Skagway?

    +

Skagway is a Klondike Gold Rush town built for excursions: White Pass and Yukon Route rail trips, Yukon border drives, glacier flights, dog sledding on ice fields and gold panning. On Outty we rank every Skagway experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Skagway Shore Excursion: Full-Day Tour of the Yukon, Skagway City and Summit Tour, Skagway Shore Excursion: Half-Day Tour to the Yukon Border and Suspension Bridge. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Skagway?

    +

May to September, the cruise season. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Skagway?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
