    TOP itinerary! AMAZING experience!

This tour has a very unique itinerary, the only one of its kind! I’ve been to all of these sites before, but I really loved that I could see all of them in one tour. Our guide Miguel was fantastic! He’s very friendly and shared a lot of interesting facts with us. He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. His tour guide style was casual and fun, not stuffy at all. It was great chatting with him. He helped us take some beautiful group photos and gave us a lot of free time to explore, which we loved. We never felt rushed or awkward. The sites themselves are wonderful, and are all sites I have visited multiple times because I loved them so much! The highlight for me is the convent of Christ. Bathala, Obidos and Alcobaca are hard to reach without a car, so It’s very convenient to see them all on one tour. For architecture lovers, there are beautiful examples of different styles of architecture, such as Emanueline and gothic. Some of the finest in the world. The pre-fix lunch was delicious. I had very tender and juicy veal and the dessert was excellent. We had more than enough time at each site to take photos (we did full photoshoots lol) and learn about the history. We also spent a lot of time in the gift shops. I highly recommend this tour! We loved Miguel! What a great guide and a perfect day for our family vacation :)

Response from the operator: Thank you for this fantastic review! We’re delighted that you loved our unique itinerary, the relaxed pace, delicious lunch and time to explore each remarkable site. Miguel will be thrilled to hear that his knowledge, friendly style and help with your family photos made the day so memorable. We truly appreciate your recommendation!

Good if you have no transportation but don't expect an actual tour.

The itinerary said the tickets were included in the price, but we had to pay when we got there. There wasn't much explanation in the tour. There were other tour guides that went inside the churches and were talking about the history and we got a cliffnotes version of a few sentences. We had no choice in where to eat, since the tour guide probably has a deal with that hotel. There were plenty of restaurants near by that we could go to.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations, but we would like to clarify a few important points. The option you booked was our small-group tour, whose description clearly states that entrance tickets are not included. Tickets are included only with the private-tour option, which was not the option selected for your reservation. Regarding lunch, guests are never required to eat at the restaurant we recommend, and the meal is not included in the tour price. We suggest this restaurant because it consistently provides the quality, service, and pricing we want for our guests. As this is a long tour covering three monuments with specific visiting schedules, efficient meal service is also important. Nevertheless, guests are always free to choose another nearby restaurant, provided that the group’s agreed departure time is respected. We regret if this was not communicated clearly enough during your tour. Our guides provide historical context for each destination and accompany guests inside the monuments, explaining the most significant areas. At the same time, we try to maintain a balance between detailed explanations and allowing guests time to observe, explore, and connect what they have learned with what they are seeing. Many of our guests specifically praise this approach, although we understand that you were expecting more continuous and in-depth commentary. We must also admit that this review came as a surprise to us. During the experience, no dissatisfaction or concern was communicated to the guide. On the contrary, you repeatedly said that you were enjoying the day and, at the end, generously thanked the guide for his service. For that reason, we find it difficult to reconcile the concerns expressed in this review with the feedback and appreciation shown throughout the tour. Had any of these concerns been raised during the day, our guide would have been happy to clarify the ticket conditions, explain the available lunch options, or adapt the level of historical commentary whenever possible. Nevertheless, we sincerely regret that the experience ultimately did not match your expectations. We appreciate your comments and will use them to improve how we communicate these details and check guests’ satisfaction during future tours. Best Regards

Tomar, 3 UNESCO Monuments & Medieval Óbidos: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Tomar, 3 UNESCO Monuments & Medieval Óbidos cost?

    +

Prices start at €27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tomar, 3 UNESCO Monuments & Medieval Óbidos take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Tomar, 3 UNESCO Monuments & Medieval Óbidos worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tomar, 3 UNESCO Monuments & Medieval Óbidos?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tomar, 3 UNESCO Monuments & Medieval Óbidos suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tomar, 3 UNESCO Monuments & Medieval Óbidos?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tomar, 3 UNESCO Monuments & Medieval Óbidos start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
