This was a great trip! Amazing experience all around, reasonably priced drinks on the boat, informational, and lots of fun!

Wonderful! Can't wait to visit & take a sunset cruise
Fun! Take an excursion soon. Captain, Melissa were excellent on board hosts & made the trip fun. Check in was simple with lovely hosts. We celebrated 🍾 a 21st birthday & there were 2 other birthdays - it was a great experience & Captain & Melissa made it special. Lovely boat, beautiful weather & fantastic trip on the water. I love a smaller size boat, more personal, more enjoyable for me. Anxious to return to Portland for a sunset trip!

The joy sneaks up on you
Went in with low expectation. I've been on more than my share of charter, private boat and Island tours. The simplicity of it, coupled with some of the kindest and most accommodating staff made for an experience that made me a believer, and likely a return guest. The music, just right. The snacks and drinks, the same. The undeniable charm of the float and return down a long section of the Willamette River, and the surrounding city lights and bridges speaks for itself. The boarding and booking process was pain free. The restroom aboard was designed to look like you were walking into a refrigerator/cooler and when the door shuts behind you, it gets more than a few curious looks until the punchline becomes apparent. Great decor. Nicely paced. Just simply very little to dislike. Well done.

“All aboard” the Tiki Boat for a fun time!
If you want a boat ride while in Portland, I highly recommend the Tiki boat. The boat is very stable, plenty of room to sit or walk about, and protected from the sun and wind under the Tiki roof. There is an optional bar with drinks and snacks if desired. The views of Portland along the Willamette River are particularly beautiful while at the water’s level. I have been on the Willamette kayaking many times, but I totally enjoyed seeing all the sights and scenery from the Tiki boat. The staff is very pleasant and shared interesting facts about the sights along the river. Our tour took us past the Sellwood Bridge, behind Ross Island, past multiple floating houseboats, under 5 bridges and past the the Fremont bridge for an up-close look at the large freighters that transport grain or concrete to the storage facilities. I will definitely bring family and friends visiting Portland for a Tiki boat ride for a truly enjoyable yet relaxing experience. (Rumor has it that the 3 hr trip to Willamette Falls is especially worthwhile.)
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review! We're so happy you had such an enjoyable time on our tour and could see the Willamette from a different view than you normally see it from. This makes us so happy to see! Hope to have you on a Willamette Falls tour sometime soon. Mahalo!

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tiki Boat River Float (1-Hour) - Portland, OR: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Portland.
How much does Tiki Boat River Float (1-Hour) - Portland, OR cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Portland usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tiki Boat River Float (1-Hour) - Portland, OR take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Portland is not rushed.
Is Tiki Boat River Float (1-Hour) - Portland, OR worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Portland, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tiki Boat River Float (1-Hour) - Portland, OR?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tiki Boat River Float (1-Hour) - Portland, OR suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tiki Boat River Float (1-Hour) - Portland, OR?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Portland can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Portland and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tiki Boat River Float (1-Hour) - Portland, OR start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Portland within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Portland?
+
Portland's activity list is food cart and brewery crawls, Columbia River Gorge waterfall tours to Multnomah Falls, Mount Hood day trips and Willamette Valley pinot tastings. Gorge tours vary in how many falls they reach, so route detail is the deciding factor. On Outty we rank every Portland experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Guided Oregon Coast Tour from Portland, Multnomah Falls and Columbia River Gorge Half-Day Hiking Tour, Columbia Gorge Waterfalls and Mt. Hood Tour - Full Day. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Portland?
+
June to October for the Gorge, with waterfalls at their fullest in spring. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Portland?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
