Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area
We will depart downtown Portland and drive east alongside the Columbia River to Troutdale, known as the Gateway to the Gorge! We will join the beautiful Historic Columbia River Highway, the first planned scenic roadway in the United States.

Vista House
Typically, our first stop for the day is the Crown Point Vista House. This famous overlook sits 733 feet above the Columbia River, atop the remains of a lava flow that swept through the Gorge around 14 to 17 million years ago! Here, we will find amazing 180-degree views of the Columbia River Gorge and explore the Vista House. An intricately designed observatory and museum, the Vista House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Latourell Falls
From the Vista House, we will drive deeper into the Columbia River National Scenic Area. Our first waterfall for the day will be the dramatic Latourell Falls which plunges 249 feet over a massive wall of columnar basalt. Depending on the season, a short ¼-mile trail hike will be led to get a closer view of the falls.

Multnomah Falls
The next waterfall we will visit will be the famed Multnomah Falls. Plummeting 620 feet in two major steps, Multnomah Falls is the highest waterfall in Oregon and second highest in the nation! Here, we can explore the Multnomah Falls Historic Lodge (a Cascadian style stone and timber lodge built in 1925) as well as the beautiful Multnomah Falls itself. The easily accessible viewing platform offers a full view of the Benson Bridge and cascading falls beyond it.

Wear comfortable hiking sandals or shoes. Lots of beautiful trails to hike. See ch an enjoyable experience Our guide Eric was so knowledgeable and pleasant. Answered all our questions and then some!

Terrific well balanced tour
This was a really great tour and my guide, Sean, was terrific. All the stops were just the right amount of time, and Sean filled us in on so much great information about the falls themselves, the geological history of the area and the history of the scenic highway. The van was comfortable and a great way to see all the amazing waterfalls. I really enjoyed this tour and would absolutely recommend it.

Perfect balance!
Norther Emily was an amazing driver and tour guide! She took us in reverse order to see the beautiful waterfalls. I appreciated that she took such care to ensure that I had a comfortable experience due to my tendency of getting carsick. The time truly flew by but felt like the perfect balance. She even squeezed in a bonus surprise stop for us! A great deal for an amazing experience.

Don’t waste your money
So we got to the meet up on time..we picked out our seat..the tour began… on the first stop the director decides to change our seats and put me and my boyfriend all the way in the back of the van without asking use first… remind uu we are the only black people on the bus…that made me feel like I needed to wake up Rosa Park🤣…my boyfriend is really tall so his legs was smashing against the seat because the back sets are smaller…so when we stop for the second time we asked her how did our seats get changed and why…she responded that it’s couples that wanted to sit together and on their anniversary and I replied we are a couple as well and want to be comfortable in the sets we picked out…then we went on to site see for 20minutes when we came back she decide to have a group discussion about seats with the whole group and made the entire van awkward and had everyone looking at the only black people crazy… you’re the one changed the seats to began with it should have been a group discussion before uu did that…uu started the division then want to play victim…I will never book with them again and we had our own car to drive that was just money horribly spent and no I didn’t leave a tip because I was very disappointed with my tour and I am a very good tipster…the views was beautiful and definitely worth seeing just drive yourself
