Rowena Crest Viewpoint
Overlooking a major chokepoint along the Ice Age Floods path, Rowena Crest lies at nearly 700 feet above the Columbia River at the upstream end of Rowena Plateau, a miles-long promontory that protrudes into the path of the river. This forces the river around the plateau through a relatively narrow section of the Gorge known as the Rowena Gap. We will stop here and enjoy the view while taking amazing photographs! We will visit this location Spring, Summer, and Fall.

A little slice of the best of everything
I wanted to do this, but I didn’t want tbe driving or planning and wanted company. This was awesome. The tour guide was knowledgeable, a great driver, and the tour included the perfect spots to capture both amazing photos and a slice of the best of the local experiences like fruit growers and breweries. What a great day!

Waterfalls, Overlooks, Orchards and Mt. Hood
We (couple) had a great day with our tour guide, John, in spite of the cloudy and sometimes rainy weather. We were conveniently picked up at our downtown Portland hotel and experienced several beautiful waterfalls and gorge overlooks along the route. We really enjoyed the post lunch stop at Packer Orchards and purchased breakfast for the next morning. Mt. Hood didn't cooperate with long range views due to the cloudy day but still loved getting to see historic Timberline Lodge. John was very informative and answered many questions about the economics of the area such as farming, wineries, logging, etc. He was also very conscious of making sure we all got in and out of the van safely, etc. The tour provided a great opportunity to explore the area outside of Portland without having to drive.
