The experience was too overcrowded. The Buggy's were in disrepair. Everywhere you turned someone was trying to sell you something at inflated prices. It wasn't a pleasant or relaxed experience.

This was the best experience of my trip. The driver Wellington was a great driver. Our tour guide was helpful. The pictures are great. You get to do everything that’s described in the excursion.

    Too much waiting around

This is very touristy. Everywhere you go you have to wait. We signed up for a a small group, but they put your small group in with a larger group and everywhere you go you have to wait and they’re all places that are tourist traps trying to sell you things. The atv was fine. Then the 2nd stop was a cenote, but there were 75 people trying to get the same small cenote. We ended up not getting in. Then you wait for everybody to get back to their ATVs then we went to a beach that was the same as our Resort Beach, but a bunch of locals trying to sell you things for 30 minutes. It was about 3 1/2 hours of hot sweaty waiting. And 1 hour of riding an atv.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that this is a shared excursion, not a private tour. Although you booked a small-group option, guests may be combined with other groups at the different stops. The tour price is also considerably lower than the rates typically charged by hotels for private or more exclusive excursions, so a completely private route for one guest is not possible at this price. The ATV portion follows established and regulated routes. The cenote and beach are shared locations, and waiting times may occur when several groups arrive at the same time. Vendors at the beach are independent third parties and are not affiliated with our company; we do not sell products during the tour or control their activity. We understand that the heat, waiting, and shared stops may have been frustrating. We appreciate your positive comment about the ATVs and will continue working to communicate the group format and itinerary as clearly as possible so guests can choose the experience that best suits their expectations.

    Do better

It was just ok. They are not very organized. They tried to separate our small group of 7. The cenote was cool but it was very crowded and rushed. Because we were originally separated, some I never received instructions or rules for the driving portion and the group was penalized because I passed a slower rider to catch up with my group. The guide just slowed the entire driving portion. Once we were done, it took nearly an hour for our driver to return. I'm not saying don't do it. Just be aware of the things that can happen.

Thrilling ATV and Buggy Excursion in Punta Cana: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Thrilling ATV and Buggy Excursion in Punta Cana cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Thrilling ATV and Buggy Excursion in Punta Cana take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Thrilling ATV and Buggy Excursion in Punta Cana worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 131 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Thrilling ATV and Buggy Excursion in Punta Cana?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Thrilling ATV and Buggy Excursion in Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Thrilling ATV and Buggy Excursion in Punta Cana?

    +

Around 46 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Thrilling ATV and Buggy Excursion in Punta Cana start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Off Road Buggy Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
