Great insight into the modern history of Villnius
Really informative tour covering not only the KGB Museum, which is very Thought provoking, but also the other key buildings in the area. Explaining the recent history of Villnius which I personally had no idea about the atrocities the people of Lithuania had to endure before gaining independance.

Domas’s Thought Provoking Journey Through the History of the KGB in Vilnius.
This is a really good tour, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I think what made it so good was the guide, Domas. Domas was clearly somebody with a wealth of knowledge on the subject of the KGB, and the role of the secret police throughout the Soviet occupation of Lithuania. This part of history is incredibly dark, and can be especially heavy, but Domas was able to speak about difficult subjects in a manner that was clear, concise, and never sensationalised. This wasn’t a performance, this was the laying of the groundwork for a real discussion of real events, which happened to real people. Domas would talk at each stop about its significance, its place within the timeline of history, and the people involved. This would elicit further questions from the group, to which he would give fascinating answers, showing what a master he was at making people think and consider. He gave information and then gave space, something very rare for a tour, and you could absolutely tell that the group appreciated this, and were able to form their own, concrete understanding of events. So, I would urge anyone to come on this tour, full in the knowledge that, whilst the background is the same, the tour is also shaped by the subjects and topics you are interested in. Domas will provide that, and you will get so much out of it, not to mention visits to some really mesmerising places within the city.

Worth the visit - need to be very mobile to keep up
The first part of the excursion is a walk - the guide went very fast and left us behind at the traffic lights - he didn’t realise we wasn’t with him any more so we went back and waited for the group to come back to the KGB museum. He didn't check how fast everyone could walk and didn’t explain how long the walk would be, so we missed the first part of the excursion - the kgb prison was very Interesting and moving.

A look into the recent past
A fascinating tour of some of the city history and the former Nazi/Soviet prison. Quite breathtaking how humans can be cruel to other humans and a real lesson from history. Great guide Dom who was very knowledgeable and with a fast but easily understood delivery
