Great tour of Bari with Dorothea
Fabulous tour with Dorothea. We were running a little late but everything was fine and Dorothea was so gracious. It was a very informative tour with lots of information on the city history not just the food, which was fantastic. We were caught in very heavy rain/thunderstorm which made walking through the labyrinth of walkways even more interesting. Dorothea you were an amazing guide, thank you
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful words! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your street food tour with Dorothea. Even the unexpected thunderstorm became part of the adventure, and exploring Bari’s charming labyrinth of alleyways in the rain surely made the experience even more memorable! Dorothea will be very happy to know that you appreciated not only the delicious food, but also the stories and history of the city that she loves to share with guests. We hope to see you again soon in Bari!

★★★★★ Frederica Made Bari Come Alive – Exceptional Private Food Tour
Frederica delivered an outstanding private street food tour of Bari. Her energy, knowledge, and personable approach made this experience one of the highlights of our trip. She expertly guided us through Bari’s culinary and architectural treasures: Il Salumiere Nino for excellent salumi and cheeses, Meh! for their famous panzerotto (truly “the greatest panzerotto in Bari old town”), Mastrociccio - Mordi La Puglia for authentic local specialties, and finished with gelato. We also walked the famous street where the pasta nonnas hand-roll orecchiette daily – a genuine Bari tradition. Between food stops, Frederica showed us the stunning St. Nicholas Basilica with its Romanesque portal and sculptures, plus the Bari Cathedral (San Sabino) where she explained the famous rose window phenomenon – sunlight shines directly through on June 21. What set Frederica apart: deep knowledge of Bari’s culinary traditions and architecture, genuine enthusiasm, friendly and engaging personality, excellent pacing, and strong relationships with local vendors. She knows the city intimately and curates stops that blend exceptional food with cultural context. If you want an authentic, well-curated food and culture experience in Bari with a guide who knows her stuff, book this tour with Frederica. Worth every euro.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful words! It was such a pleasure sharing Bari’s flavors and stories with you. I’m so happy you enjoyed the tour and hope to see you again for more delicious adventures!

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The Original Private Street Food Walking Tour in Bari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bari.
How much does The Original Private Street Food Walking Tour in Bari cost?
+
Prices start at $300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bari usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Original Private Street Food Walking Tour in Bari take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bari is not rushed.
Is The Original Private Street Food Walking Tour in Bari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Bari, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Original Private Street Food Walking Tour in Bari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Original Private Street Food Walking Tour in Bari suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Original Private Street Food Walking Tour in Bari?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bari can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bari and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Original Private Street Food Walking Tour in Bari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bari within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bari?
+
On Outty we rank every Bari experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bari’s Ultimate Street Food Tour - Small Group by Do Eat Better, Boat Tour of the Polignano a Mare Coast with Aperitif, Polignano a Mare: Boat Tour of the Caves - Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bari?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bari?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
