A magic trip -it will remain in my heart forever
I traveled through Mongolia with Mongolian Ways for the second time—and once again, it was an absolute dream! The itinerary was perfectly tailored to our wishes and needs, with wonderful ger camps near Ulaanbaatar and at Lake Khövsgöl, both in stunning natural surroundings and ideal locations. The balance between culture—visiting museums, theaters, and Buddhist monasteries—and experiencing the breathtaking landscapes and endless open spaces was excellent. My personal highlights were attending the Naadam Festival and visiting a shaman. The support we received from Muunuu throughout the trip was simply exceptional. She took such wonderful care of us, anticipating our every need before we even had to ask. Her warmth, kindness, and extensive knowledge of Mongolian history, culture, and traditions enriched our journey immensely, and she shared it all in such an engaging way. Our drivers got us safely to every destination, skillfully navigating the countless potholes and rough tracks with great care and professionalism. Their cheerful nature and good humor made every drive enjoyable and seem much shorter. My heartfelt thanks go to Sugara and Ron for making this second unforgettable journey possible. It had been a dream of mine, and I return home feeling deeply fulfilled by the incredible impressions, meaningful encounters, genuine care, and emotional moments that will remain in my heart forever. With all my love and gratitude, thank you to the entire Mongolian Ways team! Doro
Response from the operator: Dear Doro, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your beautiful words. Welcoming you back to Mongolia for a second journey was a true privilege, and knowing that this trip fulfilled a long-held dream means more to us than we can express. There is no greater compliment than hearing that the memories, encounters, and emotions will stay with you long after you’ve returned home. Your kind words about Muunuu, our drivers, and the entire team will mean the world to them. They all share the same passion for introducing travelers not only to Mongolia’s spectacular landscapes, but also to its people, traditions, and spirit. I will make sure they read your review. It was wonderful to create another journey together—one that balanced Mongolia’s rich cultural heritage with its vast wilderness, and included unforgettable moments such as Naadam and your visit with the shaman. Those are experiences that truly capture the soul of this remarkable country. Thank you once again for your friendship, your trust, and for choosing Mongolian Ways for a second time. We sincerely hope it won’t be the last, and we look forward to welcoming you back beneath Mongolia’s endless blue skies for another adventure. With our warmest wishes, Sugara, Ron & the entire Mongolian Ways team

unforgettable journey, We left with full hearts and a longing to return.
Ron, thank you for creating a truly magical experience in Mongolia — 12 days filled with beauty, depth, and heart in a place almost untouched by the West. Your genuine love for the land was contagious, and you shared it with us while staying true to its authenticity. The trip you designed was extraordinary — diverse, inspiring, and thoughtfully planned. Together with your wonderful team — the amazing Tsolmon and the skilled drivers who guided us safely along Mongolia’s challenging dirt roads — you managed to make every moment both adventurous and comfortable. From the breathtaking landscapes to the warmth of the nomads who welcomed us, every detail was unforgettable. We’ll always remember the elaborate picnics, your playful leaps on the rocks, and the magical way jeeps seemed to appear from nowhere the moment the rain began, ensuring we stayed dry. Your seamless collaboration with our guide from Israel, Limor Zadok, as well as your constant smile, patience, flexibility, and creativity, made all the difference — even with our sometimes unusual requests as a group of passionate photographers. Thank you, Ron. You have not only given us memories to treasure forever, but you’ve also left us longing to return. Osnat Peer
Response from the operator: Dear Osnat, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your beautiful message. It means the world to us to know that Mongolia left such a deep impression, not just through its landscapes and people, but through the experience we were able to craft together. Ron, Tsolmon, and the entire Mongolian Ways team truly enjoyed traveling with your group. Your spirit, curiosity, and warmth made every day feel special. It was also a joy collaborating with Limor, and yes, even navigating the wild requests of a group of passionate photographers! We’re so glad the little moments, the care behind the logistics, and the shared love for this land came through. You will always have a home here in Mongolia, and we hope to welcome you back for another chapter of adventure and connection. With gratitude, The Mongolian Ways Team

The Jewels Of Mongolia: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ulaanbaatar.
How much does The Jewels Of Mongolia cost?
+
Prices start at $3,079 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ulaanbaatar usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Jewels Of Mongolia take?
+
Plan for about 264 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ulaanbaatar is not rushed.
Is The Jewels Of Mongolia worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Ulaanbaatar, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Jewels Of Mongolia?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is The Jewels Of Mongolia suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 264-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Jewels Of Mongolia?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ulaanbaatar can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ulaanbaatar and add a light layer if any part of the 264-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Jewels Of Mongolia start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ulaanbaatar within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ulaanbaatar?
+
On Outty we rank every Ulaanbaatar experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include BEST 5* Chinggis Khaan Airport UBN Ulaanbaatar Transfer Taxi 24/7, A day trip to Terelj National Park and Statue of Chinggis Khan, Genghis Khan Statue+Terelj Park+CamelRide+Eagle. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ulaanbaatar?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ulaanbaatar?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
