    Book the e-bike tour!

We did the 1:30 tour which was great and not so "early bird" as the name implies. It was just me and my husband and our tour guide, Jeff. It was PERFECT!! He asked us what we were interested in seeing and learning about and was able to tailor the tour just for us. He took us to see things we had never seen before and he was so knowledgeable. The bikes were easy to learn and even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon in the city, he was able to navigate us perfectly. We can't wait to go back and explore some of the places he took us to and now we want to buy e-bikes for ourselves when we get home.

Response from the operator: Dear Danelle, Thank you so much for this amazing review! We are thrilled to hear that you and your husband had such a perfect experience on our San Diego E-Bike Tour with Jeff. One of the best parts of a private tour is being able to tailor the experience around what our guests are most excited to see and learn, and we are so happy Jeff was able to show you parts of San Diego you had never seen before. He will be delighted to know how much you appreciated his knowledge, guidance, and ability to navigate the city with ease. We love that the tour inspired you to come back and explore more, and maybe even buy e-bikes of your own. Thank you again for choosing Another Side Of San Diego Tours. We would be honored to welcome you back for another adventure anytime. All the best, Kenneth CEO, Another Side Of San Diego Tours

    Wonderful City Tour!

What a great experience. My wife and I try to complete an electric bike tour in every city we visit. We’ve visited San Diego several times, but our visits were limited to the particular attraction we were visiting. This bike tour is a wonderful way to see so much of San Diego via bike. The location is easy to find, and parking is easy to find ( there is a huge parking structure next door). We were met by Kevin who was our guide for the tour. Awesome personality with a friendly demeanor. His knowledge of the San Diego area is impressive. He was full of fun facts about the city. The course was delightful and the bikes were easy to ride. I highly recommend this city tour and hope you get Kevin as your guide, you won’t be disappointed.

Response from the operator: Hi Daremejclc, Thank you so much for this fantastic review. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. I love that you make it a point to do an e-bike tour in every city you visit, that’s such a great way to explore, and I’m honored we got to be part of your San Diego experience. It’s especially great to hear that even after visiting multiple times, the tour helped you see the city in a whole new way. I’m glad the meeting location and parking were easy and convenient, we know how important that is to getting the day started off right. Kevin is an incredible guide, and you described him perfectly. Friendly, engaging, and full of knowledge. I’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to him, he’ll really appreciate it. It’s great to hear that his personality and fun facts helped make the experience memorable. Thank you as well for mentioning the route and the bikes. We work hard to make sure the experience is both enjoyable and accessible for all riders. Reviews like yours truly help support our small, family-run business and allow us to continue creating these experiences for guests visiting from all over the world. We are very grateful for your recommendation. We would love to host you again on your next adventure in San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or Maui. All The Best, Kenneth

    San Diego e-bike Tour

It was the BEST way to really see downtown San Diego! We saw everything from the Padres stadium to Little Italy to the beautiful grounds of Balboa Park. The ride was easy and our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable.

Response from the operator: Dear Shelly, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I am really glad to hear that you enjoyed the Early Bird Guided E-Bike Tour and that it gave you a great way to experience downtown San Diego. That route really does showcase some of the city’s most iconic highlights, from Petco Park and the energy of downtown to the charm of Little Italy and the beautiful architecture and gardens of Balboa Park. Exploring it by e-bike allows guests to cover a lot of ground while still enjoying the ride at a comfortable pace, so I am very happy to hear that the experience felt easy and enjoyable. I also appreciate your kind words about your guide. Jeff Loves Kenny and Lynn

We have now done four E-Bike tours on this cruise from Vancouver to Los Angeles and this one in San Diego was a very pleasant surprise.  San Diego wasn't the biggest name on the itinerary but it certainly punched well above it's weight.  We cycled from the start point towards "Sea Port Village" where we popped into the "Kansas City Barbeque" bar where Goose and Maverick sung "Great Balls of Fire" in the first Top Gun movie.  We then cycled further along the shore line to see the "Kissing Statue", the "Bob Hope Statue", and the aircraft carrier "USS Midway".  From this vantage point you could also see "USS Theodore Roosevelt" and "USS Carl Vinson" across the water in the distance.  From here on we cycled up to the "Balboa Park" which is a very picturesque and cycle friendly location.  Jeff was a great guide who was happy to take lots of photos of us at the best locations so I am allowed to use his real name instead of Kenny, the owner.  My name is also Kenny so the title works both ways!

Response from the operator: Dear Kenny, Thank you so much for this incredible review and for sharing such thoughtful details about your experience. I have to say, you clearly have excellent taste, not only in tours but in names too. Jeff will be thrilled to know that his hospitality and attention to detail made your ride so enjoyable. He is one of the best, and your kind words mean the world to all of us here. It sounds like you experienced the very best of our city, from the Top Gun bar to Balboa Park, and we are so glad you took it all in with such enthusiasm. It was an absolute pleasure to host you both, and we hope your travels bring you back our way again soon for another adventure. We would also love to welcome you on one of our tours in Los Angeles or Las Vegas, and soon in beautiful Maui as well. All The Best, Kenneth President & CEO Another Side Of San Diego Tours

    Fun ride

Fantastic ride… mainly flat. A few stops tell us a few fun facts… saw alot of the city!! The only bad part is that you had to walk through a courtyard where at least 10 homeless were camping out!

Response from the operator: Dear Bill_H, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on our Early Bird Guided E-Bike Tour. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the ride and found our city tour informative! We appreciate your feedback about the courtyard. While the homelessness situation is indeed a complex citywide challenge, we take the safety and comfort of our guests very seriously. We work proactively with local law enforcement to ensure our tour routes are safe and welcoming for all visitors. We have established additional security measures and maintain regular communication with SDPD to address any concerns in our immediate vicinity. We're continuously working to enhance our tour experience and have made several recent improvements to our route planning. We truly value feedback like yours as it helps us provide the best possible experience for our guests. We hope to welcome you back for another San Diego adventure! Best regards, Kenneth, CEO of Another Side Tours

The Early Bird Guided E-Bike Tour in San Diego: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Diego.

How much does The Early Bird Guided E-Bike Tour in San Diego cost?

    +

Prices start at $119 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Diego usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Early Bird Guided E-Bike Tour in San Diego take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Diego is not rushed.

Is The Early Bird Guided E-Bike Tour in San Diego worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Diego, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Early Bird Guided E-Bike Tour in San Diego?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Early Bird Guided E-Bike Tour in San Diego suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The Early Bird Guided E-Bike Tour in San Diego?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Diego can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Diego and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Early Bird Guided E-Bike Tour in San Diego start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Diego within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in San Diego?

    +

San Diego is an outdoor-first city: whale watching from December through April, La Jolla kayak and snorkel runs year round, harbour cruises and the USS Midway, plus Balboa Park museums when the marine layer sits low. We rank water operators on group ratios and gear quality, which is where the cheap La Jolla trips fall down. On Outty we rank every San Diego experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include USS Midway Museum Admission: Valid Any Date, Taste of Little Italy in San Diego, San Diego Whale Watching Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit San Diego?

    +

March to May and September to November, either side of the June overcast. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in San Diego?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
