Horrible / do not waste your money
This was the worst food tour we have experienced. Do not waste your money. Tour guide barely spoke to us, took us to one restaurant and we grabbed dessert in spot immediately next to restaurant. There was absolutely no tour aspect about this. Horrible experience. We will request a full refund
Response from the operator: Dear Deirdre, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear how disappointing this experience was for you. A food tour should feel engaging, interactive, and thoughtfully guided, and we understand how frustrating it must have been when it felt limited and lacked the tour element you were expecting. We appreciate you taking the time to voice your concerns. Experiences like this are certainly not what we aim to deliver, and hearing how it felt from your perspective is important for us as we continue to review and improve how our tours are experienced on the ground. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, even though we know it’s never pleasant to relive a disappointing moment. Kind regards, The Withlocals Team

Not worth the money
This was NOT what I was expecting for 6 “award winning” tastings with food. WAY overpriced for what you get. I would maybe pay $50. Tour guide was very nice, and informative. However extremely disappointed at what was offered for a so called award winning food tour.
Response from the operator: Dear Abbey, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found your guide kind and informative, but we’re truly sorry to learn that the overall experience didn’t meet your expectations in terms of value and food selection. We completely understand your disappointment, especially when a tour doesn’t feel like it reflects what was promised. Our “Award-Winning Food Tours” are designed to showcase authentic local flavors through a curated selection of tastings and small bites that represent the city’s culinary culture. That said, it’s clear that in this case, the experience didn’t deliver the variety or quality you were hoping for. We’ve shared your comments with our local team and the host involved to review the menu and structure of the Milan tour, ensuring it aligns more closely with traveler expectations in the future. We take your feedback to heart and will use it to keep improving. Kind regards, The Withlocals Team

Disappointing food tour.
Our expectation was that we would visit a few restaurants to experience 6 different food and wine tastings of Milan that you wouldn’t find just on your own. We actually only went to one restaurant where we enjoyed a charcuterie tray and 2 drinks. We then had a gelato and a coffee. Disappointing for spending $300. At best it is a $100 value.
Response from the operator: Hi Sue, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re very sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations in terms of variety, value, and the unique tastings you were hoping for. We completely understand your disappointment, especially given the cost, and we regret that the experience felt limited compared to what was described. Your feedback is very valuable, and we’ll work closely with our local team to ensure the food and wine selection offers a wider and more authentic range that better reflects the true culinary spirit of Milan. Cheers, Withlocals Team

Milan Mona Bella!
Salvatore was a gracious host to his beautiful city. He brought us to a trattoria in the old part of Milan that was fantastic. After we had a fresh cannoli and some fantastic gelato. The tour of the castle was educational and enlightening. I recommend the tour if you have a few hours to spend in this wonderful city.

The Award-Winning Private Food Tour of Milan: 6 or 10 Tastings: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.
How much does The Award-Winning Private Food Tour of Milan: 6 or 10 Tastings cost?
+
Prices start at $155 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Award-Winning Private Food Tour of Milan: 6 or 10 Tastings take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.
Is The Award-Winning Private Food Tour of Milan: 6 or 10 Tastings worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 86 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Award-Winning Private Food Tour of Milan: 6 or 10 Tastings?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Award-Winning Private Food Tour of Milan: 6 or 10 Tastings suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Award-Winning Private Food Tour of Milan: 6 or 10 Tastings?
+
Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Award-Winning Private Food Tour of Milan: 6 or 10 Tastings start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milan?
+
On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Milan: Pasta and Tiramisu Small Group Cooking Class with Wine, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
