Beautiful Church

The Duomo is an impressive and magnificent building. We bought a tour on the street. The price was affordable. It included skipping the line, a lift to the terraces, and an entrance to the Museum (building next to the Duomo). It was Monday and the museum was closed, we didn't know it was included in the package but we couldn't go in. Women need to have their shoulders covered and the length of skirts or shorts can be mid-thight. If it is to short won't let you in. There is two-point of security, they scan your body and then your bags to enter. Inside there is a lot of history and beauty in this building. It is worth visiting. We met with the tour guide and he took us to take the lift and others choose the stairs. The view and the scale of work that took to build this Duomo are impressive. The total tour could take around 3 hours approximately.

Milan Cathedral -a must-see

A visit to the cathedral is a must when visiting Milan. We had pre-booked tickets as I wanted to get on the roof terraces. This is definitely worth it, just because of the great view. We chose the stairway because there is simply more to see. The nearly 200 steps are easily done. In the cathedral some areas were closed off. Restoration work. But I didn't find that disturbing, so it is with historical buildings. I also found the crypt very impressive. All in all a great building, which is absolutely worth seeing.

The Duomo is impressive, when you leave the Victorio Manuel Gallery and you stumble upon that beauty it leaves you speechless. The Gothic style of the construction is impressive, the stained glass windows sense that you will fall in love when you enter. First we enjoy the imposing beauty offered by its facade, very similar to that of Florence although without so much color, that of Milan is monochrome all white, but that does not detract from its beauty. To purchase entrance tickets, the offices are outside the Duomo on the right sidewalk. There are two types of entrance, only Duomo (13€), or Duomo, Museum and terrace (17€). When you enter, you find a Gothic church, without too much ornamentation, but equally impressive, the huge and large columns, the wonderful stained glass windows that flood with colored lights the whole cathedral, the precious altar, all the statues and paintings that decorate the cathedral are equally incredible. Inside is the Archaeological Museum, and the relics of San Carlos Borromeo. To climb the terrace there are two accesses depending on whether you have taken the entrance by elevator or by stairs. The terrace is very spacious and beautiful although the views are not too spectacular, it offers you the possibility to walk around the Duomo from above since the terrace is the whole Duomo. You can take some very nice pictures there.
