Tamaran VIP Tour - tremendous!
We booked this tour with Tamaran having read several good reviews, and were delighted with the experience. We were a mature family group of four, and travelled in a convoy of 2 comfortable Mercedes mini-vans, in the capable hands of Juan, our driver, with radio commentary from Neil, driving the lead vehicle. The itinerary was varied and interesting, with many 'wow' moments, and so much informative and humorous input from Neil, that we really felt we'd learned so much about this stunning island. Favourite locations: La Oratava Teide National Park Masca Garachicco Would have loved more time in Garachicco, even if that meant missing Icod de los Vinos, but that's a minor detail. Can enthusiastically recommend this company and this tour for a brilliant day out.

Amazing, interesting and informative
An amazing , personalised tour today in a comfortable luxury people carrier. Visited amazing places around the island. Trip enhanced by our great tour guide Neil. Very good driver, friendly , funny, knowledgeable and informative. We've had two tours in the last two days, both fantastic and both driven and guided by Neil!!

Very disappointing – poorly organized VIP tour
We are a family of six, and our experience with Tamaran was extremely disappointing. VIP tour misrepresented: Brochure promised a maximum of 8 people; in reality, there were 13 participants across two vehicles. No guide in our vehicle: The French-speaking guide was actually the driver of the other vehicle, communicating via radio, which cannot replace a guide present with us. Unusable audio: Constant interference and crackling made commentary unintelligible. We have audio recordings. Mostly self-guided stops: Garachico, Masca, and viewpoints – no explanations, no guidance. Poor itinerary management: Some stops only 5–10 minutes, others skipped, lunch 1h30, no proper parking at Icod de los Vinos. Company failure: Tamaran offered only €84 refund for a €500 tour, showing their solution is completely inadequate. We want a full refund. This tour was misleading, badly organized, and far from a true guided experience. We cannot recommend Tamaran.

Regarding the commentary: we will review our communication system. As it is based on radio, there can occasionally be interference in certain areas, but our team is always available to repeat any information as many times as needed so it’s clear and everyone can enjoy the day.
