    Top experience

A beautiful experience on the roads of Teide to be repeated, and above all, the guides were very kind and friendly.

    Money grabbers and completely rude

Booked the quad bikes with my partner, looked good from the pictures, and in the description it mentioned they would contact us in regard to getting a transfer. We were never contacted about the transfer so we had to book a €45 taxi there. Once there the place looked run down, the staff were rude and we felt belittled by the way we were spoken to. The guides kept trying to push extra upgrades onto us which we didn’t accept as we had spent so much money getting there. There was lots of extra costs which we weren’t aware of, €15 insurance, €30 photos. The trip itself wasn’t bad, we stopped many times just to take pictures or pull over for cars, it was a very hot day so these stops felt unbearable we were too warm and we weren’t allowed to bring water with us. Once we hit the last stop we were offered water and a pack of crisps, only 1 flavour which was slightly underwhelming after it was advertised, however this stop had to be cut short we only stopped for 5 minutes maximum not giving us enough time to eat and drink. After it had ended we asked to have a taxi booked as we weren’t able to phone up ourselves, to which the receptionist replied that she wouldn’t if we wanted to get back we’d have to spend €50 on the shuttle bus, which is more expensive than a taxi and would take a lot longer so we declined. We asked again if they could book a taxi for us and they declined. The shop then locked up and we were left stranded for an hour until we were able to get a taxi. Overall, the actual quad bikes themselves weren’t too bad and we would do it again with another company however this company were money grabbers and very rude throughout.

Response from the operator: Dear customer, at the time of booking, you were publicly and very carefully advised of the extra OPTIONAL upgrades and/or damage wavers. Only because you did not read, it doesn't mean that you were cheated. We did deliver what we have promised, only that was what you have paid for: the small quad. You cannot complain of that, only because other customer have chosen a larger and more powerful vehicle, paying for the upgrade, as that vehicles cost much more as for buying and operating. Of course pictures cost money, as we pay for the photographic equipment. You did book to drive a quad, not for a photographic session. We did contact you via whats app to offer transfer, but you did not bother to read the text, only 30 minutes before the start of the excursion you answered, when nobody could organise transfer for you anymore. Please read before buying, it's common sense, otherwise, complaining after, makes no sense. We wish you a great holiday!

    NOT RECOMMENDED

NOT RECOMMENDED — VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE When we arrived at the meeting point, our first impression was already very negative. The place looked dirty and poorly maintained, it was extremely hot inside, and right at the entrance there was a huge Pornhub logo. We found it vulgar and completely inappropriate for a tourist company, and it immediately made us question the professionalism and seriousness of the business. But things got much worse when we were told what we had actually booked for €120. The person dealing with us spoke in an almost imperative tone about the upgrade. It didn’t feel like we were being offered an optional extra; it felt like we were being told that we had to pay more if we wanted to have a decent experience. The vehicle we had already paid for was presented as uncomfortable and almost as if we had made a mistake by choosing it. Then came the insurance. We were strongly encouraged to pay for additional insurance, again in a way that felt more like pressure than a genuine optional recommendation. We were told that if we didn’t take the insurance and something happened that was considered to be “our fault,” it would hurt our pockets. The problem is that what exactly constitutes “our fault” is ultimately determined by them, as far as we understood it. That is an incredibly uncomfortable thing to be told after you have already arrived and paid. Instead of simply explaining the insurance options and their conditions clearly beforehand, the message felt like: pay more, because if something happens, you could end up paying dearly. And this was not the only unexpected extra. There were also additional fees for paying by card. None of these costs were made sufficiently clear to us before the excursion. In our opinion, this is a terrible way to sell a tourist activity. You arrive expecting to enjoy an excursion, and instead you are immediately confronted with upgrades, additional insurance and extra charges, while being made to feel that refusing them could have serious consequences. The whole process felt extremely uncomfortable and, frankly, dishonest. And honestly, our recommendation is simple: rent a car instead. You can drive roughly twice as fast as the quads on appropriate sections of the route, rather than being stuck in a slow convoy. You have air conditioning, much more comfort, much more freedom, and you can stop at the countless free viewpoints around Tenerife. And this is the important part: you actually have time to see what you came to Tenerife for — the Teide and the incredible landscapes around it. For us, driving yourself is safer, more comfortable, more flexible and much better for your wallet. You can see practically the whole Teide area, stop wherever you want, enjoy the views and do it without being pressured into paying for upgrades and insurance you weren’t expecting. We would absolutely not recommend this excursion based on our experience. Save your money, rent a car and enjoy Tenerife at your own pace.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback — we'll address the points raised. The sign at our meeting point is our own registered brand logo, HUB Excursions; it is simply our company identity. On pricing: the larger-engine quad and the optional insurance are optional, and their prices are shown before booking — none of it is compulsory, and our staff are instructed to present these as free choices, never as pressure. Our tours run on-road and guided because they cross Teide National Park, a protected UNESCO World Heritage site where off-road riding is prohibited for every operator; the group pace and set speed are safety and legal requirements, not a restriction we impose by choice. We're sorry the experience didn't match your expectations, but the way it is described here does not reflect how we operate or how thousands of our guests experience the tour. — HUB Excursions team

    good fun and very enjoyable

booked quad hub to go to do teide sunset, really enjoyed it, was full of couples though so as a solo traveller was a little lonely but didn’t fase me. travelled up the mountain with 2 stops, amazing going through the cloud with different weather conditions , they supply helmet and jackets which it does get a bit chilly. when we got back got a drink and snack. If you love a sunset you will love this

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the lovely review — we're so glad you enjoyed the sunset and the ride up through the clouds! Hope to welcome you back. — HUB Excursions team

    Amazing views, recommend!!

Amazing sunset experience and a must do!! We got a good deal for 2 people on 1 quad €120. Most companies out there charge around €150 plus. Our tour wasn’t able to pick us up from our hotel (as far away) but staff came and met us in Adeje to take us to the meeting location which really helped us out. The staff go through all safety precautions prior and explain everything so you don’t feel unsafe especially if it’s your first time. They look after you and don’t leave you by yourself so always felt safe and knew they took safety seriously. You can add on a driver for an extra €10 which is reasonable and optional insurance for €15. Quads are very easy to drive. We were skeptical as on the day as it was very cloudy and wasn’t guaranteed we would see a good sunset however once above the clouds it cleared up and was able to see the most unreal sunset. There are a few stops on the way so you are not constantly driving and the scenery is amazing with tour guide giving some guided talks which were interesting. They also take lots of pictures of you and are available to buy for €30 at the end. I only wanted about 3 photos but you cannot buy individuals and have to buy the whole package. The only thing I would say is that it felt rather rushed at times, like we were chasing the sunset and once there didn’t get time to fully embrace the moment before being told we need to go. Maybe the tour could start earlier and be longer so the experience can be fully digested.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a detailed and generous review! We're thrilled you got that unreal sunset above the clouds, and that our team came to meet you in Adeje to make it work. Your point about the pace is well taken — the timing is built around catching the sunset at exactly the right moment, but we're always looking at how to give guests more time to soak it in. We'll also look at more flexible photo options. As you noted, the driver swap and insurance are always optional. Thank you for the thoughtful feedback — hope to welcome you back! — HUB Excursions team

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does Tenerife: 3h Guided Quad Tour to Mount Teide | Day or Sunset cost?

    +

Prices start at $114 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tenerife: 3h Guided Quad Tour to Mount Teide | Day or Sunset take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is Tenerife: 3h Guided Quad Tour to Mount Teide | Day or Sunset worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 35 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2.7/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tenerife: 3h Guided Quad Tour to Mount Teide | Day or Sunset?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tenerife: 3h Guided Quad Tour to Mount Teide | Day or Sunset suitable for kids and families?

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tenerife: 3h Guided Quad Tour to Mount Teide | Day or Sunset?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour, Teide National Park Sunset & Stargazing Coach Tour – Hotel Pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
