Great way to fill half a day with an excursion
If you’re looking for an excursion to do whilst in Tenerife, and have a full day to use, this could the the one for you. Note that the trip itself involved around four hours of the time on a coach (roughly two hours there and two hours back). The coach was comfortable and modern, with Ac and recliners. The group was about thirty strong. The price includes the coach fare and the cable car up the volcano. The guide was super friendly, very knowledgeable and added to the experience by sharing so much facts, history and more. I would say the trip is best for more active and fit people and may not suit those with small children or with more elderly persons. I really enjoyed the experience as it was my main excursion of the trip, and the atmosphere was created by the great guide we had but also the fellow tourists were easy to talk to and get along with.

Sunny day, beat the snow and very informative.
Fortunately I booked a tour of mount Teide on a sunny day, it snowed the day after and there was an earthquake apparently but I didn't notice. That was the day after the tour so we all did well as some tours the day after were cancelled. The tour guide and driver were excellent. I got some good photos and had just enough time for, drinks, a snack and the toilet when the coach parked up. The stops gave us enough time and the coach went a different way on the way back so I got dropped off first. It was very good.

Beautiful views but too long for a half day and for kids on the bus
Beautiful views but they should’ve organised a different tour for the people doing the cable car as we had a long stop dropping and picking them up (not sure if some people were late coming down) but we only had a hour stop out of a 6/7 hour day so too long to be on a bus for kids

Wow!
Wow!! Words do not do the views from near the top justice. Jose as our guide was amazing, delivering insightful information about Teide and the surrounding areas in German, English & Spanish. Domingo as our driver ensured we were safe at all times whilst navigating the winding roads. Would definitely recommend purchasing the cable car tickets to climb to 3500 meters for the amazing views of Tiede.

Avoid and check elsewhere.
Lack of communication from agent / host . Very poor knowledge/ clarity when speaking on tannoy on coach trip . Would not recommend to anyone.
Response from the operator: Hi Logan, I think you didn't write the review on the right place. We are always in touch with customers. Our company is Tenerife Trips & Holidays. I will suggest you if you can delete this review please from our page. Kind regards Eliazar Rodríguez

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Teide Half Day Bus in the National Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Teide Half Day Bus in the National Park cost?
+
Prices start at $61 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Teide Half Day Bus in the National Park take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Teide Half Day Bus in the National Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Teide Half Day Bus in the National Park?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Teide Half Day Bus in the National Park suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Teide Half Day Bus in the National Park?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Teide Half Day Bus in the National Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
