Incredible Honeymoon in Uganda and Tanzania

We chose Safari Crew to organize our honeymoon in Uganda and Tanzania and, after such a beautiful experience, we can only recommend them without hesitation. From the very first stages of the organization, we found great availability, professionalism, and attention to detail. The trip was quite complex, with various movements, parks, lodges, and activities between two countries, but everything was organized impeccably. We never had the feeling of having to worry about logistics: transfers, timing, overnight stays, and activities were always perfectly coordinated, allowing us to simply focus on the trip and enjoy every moment. Uganda was an incredible discovery. We crossed completely different landscapes, visited some of the most beautiful parks in the country, and lived experiences that we will hardly forget, up to the trekking to see the gorillas, which alone is worth the trip. Tanzania was also extraordinary, with spectacular safaris and a truly impressive number of animals. Every day had something different, and the program was very well structured, without being either too hectic or repetitive. A special thanks goes above all to our guides, who were probably the most important added value of the entire experience. Always punctual, helpful, very well-prepared, and with an exceptional knowledge of the animals, the parks, and the territories we were visiting. They did not simply limit themselves to taking us from one place to another: they continuously explained what we were seeing, the behavior of the animals, the characteristics of the different species, and many aspects of the local culture and life. During the safaris, they were also excellent at spotting animals, often at distances where we would not have noticed anything at all, and at understanding where to position themselves to allow us to observe and photograph every sighting as well as possible. We never had the feeling of being accompanied according to a “standard” program: there was always great attention to our preferences and the desire to make every day special. For us, moreover, since it was our honeymoon, it was important that it be an experience that was not only adventurous but also pleasant and well-organized in terms of comfort. We were fully satisfied in this respect as well. The selected lodges were beautiful, often immersed in incredible settings, and the general level of the facilities was absolutely up to expectations. We also really appreciated the balance of the itinerary: many hours dedicated to safaris and discovering the territories, but without ever having the feeling that the trip was becoming a race from one stop to the next. Each destination had the right amount of time and each transfer was logically included within the program. When organizing a trip of this type, especially in Africa and especially for an important occasion like a honeymoon, having a reliable tour operator really makes the difference. With Safari Crew we felt looked after and at ease from beginning to end, and everything that had been agreed upon before departure was respected. We return home with incredible memories, thousands of photographs, and the feeling of having experienced one of the most beautiful trips of our lives. Thanks to the entire Safari Crew team and especially to our fantastic guides for having contributed to making our honeymoon in Uganda and Tanzania an unforgettable experience. If you are thinking of organizing a safari in Africa, we can absolutely recommend Safari Crew: impeccable organization, exceptional guides, and an experience taken care of in every detail. Five stars more than deserved!

A fabulously curated five-star safari experience

A fabulously curated five-star experience that gave us a full immersion into four of Northern Tanzania's spectacular parks: the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire. We spent eight unforgettable nights across two superb luxury lodges and three unique glamping camps, each offering its own distinctive charm and exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. Every property provided warm, attentive service, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. Safari Crew's guides are skilled, knowledgeable, and engaging. And multilingual - our guide spoke English, Italian and Swahili. They know exactly where to go to maximize wildlife sightings and are experts at explaining the animals, the history and development of the parks, and the rich cultural traditions of Tanzania and the Maasai people. Just as importantly, our guide was an exceptional driver. This is no small matter, as the roads through the parks can be rough, uneven, and dusty, and there is a significant amount of travel between destinations. Their driving skills are worthy of a rally racer! The wildlife we encountered across the four parks was simply extraordinary. Watching the Great Migration cross the Mara River was thrilling and unforgettable. Yet even a lifetime spent watching nature documentaries could not prepare us for the reality of being just feet away from elephant herds, baboon families, pods of hippos, flocks of flamingos, and vast plains filled with zebras and wildebeest. We spent time observing cheetahs and lions and were continually awed by the breathtaking landscapes that surrounded us. One of the greatest luxuries of the trip was how effortless everything felt. From the moment our guide collected us at the airport until he dropped us off eight days later, every detail was seamlessly managed. At each lodge or camp, we were welcomed with warm washcloths to refresh ourselves after the dusty roads and a glass of delicious hibiscus juice. Our luggage was always handled for us, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy the experience. At the camps we enjoyed the evening bonfires and spent hours admiring the night sky, identifying new (for us) constellations (in the Southern Hemisphere), and being awed by the Milky Way. Safari Crew owner Rocco La Stella took the time to meet with me via Zoom before we booked and provided a comprehensive overview of the safari. During the ten months between placing our deposit and arriving in Tanzania, he answered my many questions promptly, patiently, and always with good humor. Perhaps most importantly, every safari is highly customizable. We met another couple who completed a similar itinerary over fourteen days, preferring a slower pace with morning game drives followed by afternoons relaxing at their lodge, enjoying the pool, or indulging in spa treatments. After experiencing how incredible this trip was, that's exactly what we'll do next time! A real highlight was having lunch on our last day, before heading to the airport, at Rocco's wonderful restaurant, The Boma, in Arusha, and spending time with him and his wife Sara. Grazie Rocco! If you're considering a Tanzania safari, I cannot recommend Safari Crew highly enough. The combination of outstanding guides, exceptional accommodations, seamless logistics, and unforgettable wildlife experiences made this truly the trip of a lifetime.

    The perfect safari.

I have never been on a safari and therefore I have no basis for comparison. But the experience was fantastic. I traveled with my 14-year-old son and everything was perfect. The guide speaks perfect Italian. Very patient, cautious, present. He had the ability to always be in the right place at the right time. Recommended!

    Unforgettable emotions

My family and I had a great experience with Safari Crew Tanzania. Thanks to the founder, Rocco Lastella, we organized a magnificent tailor-made safari, perfectly adapted to the needs of our family. Excellent driving and organization, and very beautiful lodges in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks, which gave us unforgettable emotions when we woke up, surrounded by elephants, zebras and giraffes.

How many days do you need in Moshi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
