Lots of good food! But a little more awareness would have been nice
It was a TON of food and it was clear that the tour guide was knowledgeable about excited about showing guests Taiwan. A few things to note: * Tour guide was a few minutes late. Which would have been fine, except for like the 3+ notices we got saying to be 15 minutes early to not slow down the tour.. a bit ironic. * I would have appreciated a little situational awareness from the tour guide. There were multiple children on the tour (including mine), so being a bit more discrete when talking about the possibility of prostitution in the area would have been great. Not having to worry about explaining that to some 10 year olds would have been nice * Again, some discretion when there are kids around would have been nice. It's great the tour guide wants to teach some local phrases, but to teach the chinese word for "f*ck" to convey "damn that's good", probably isn't the best when there are multiple children around * There was so much food on the tour we were stuffed before the end. The other guests and us decided that we wanted to go straight to shaved ice, except the tour guide took us to visit another restaurant (the one in the basement) for a rather lengthy wait for a table was kind of annoying - especially since everyone agreed we'd go straight to shaved ice. I think it wsa becuase the tour guide was hungry and hadn't eaten yet. but having to wait a long time for a table and then sit and watch him eat wasn't the best, especially since the restaurant was packed with people and hot. * When I said we were going to go ahead and leave, since it was already 8:30pm, routing us through an arcade was not appreciated. My child then wanted to play arcade games instead of leaving the tour and he was already upset about not getting the shaved ice.

Great experience with Vincent! 10/10 Recommend!
What an incredible tour with Vincent! He took us through a full range of Taiwanese cuisine, and gave us history (including personal history haha since he grew up here) and advice on where to go next. It's clear there was a lot of thought put into these stops and my partner and I ended up being absolutely stuffed at the end-- we had to pack a lot of food up. There were no disappointments on the route! I would suggest going to the meeting spot a bit early so you can also check out the Lungshan Temple and Bopilao Historical Block.

Must start for Taiwan Visit
A very positive experience and a great way to start my Taiwan trip! Vincent has loads of great advice and recommendations on Taiwan travel and Taiwan food and life. The tour is well planned and well thought out with all the stops being quite intentional. Each place is loaded with local Taiwanese people so you know the Taiwanese cuisine is outstanding! The dessert at the end is perfect! I would recommend this tour to any traveler who wants great authentic Taiwanese food!

Loved the tour and Tiffany was such a great host! I highly recommend her and this tour. I was incredibly full and very happy by the end. I got a real taste of Taiwanese cuisine and am missing it already!
